No plans so far. With the rise of the US $$$ I will only be looking at hunts that base their prices in euro for now, we have remained steady to slightly increasing in relation to the euro at least. Maybe Namibia?

Go hard or go home eh? LOL good luck!

I have a real problem with bow shots past 50yds and experience to back it up. Years ago I took an 80yd shot at a calmly grazing bull elk. My shot flew true and would have pin wheeled him, unfortunately he took 1 step forward as he grazed while the arrow was in its massive arc heading his direction and instead of the nice lung shot I had planned it hit him in the paunch. A bow at any speed is simply not capable enough to avoid even slow intentional movements at that range and IMO is not responsible regardless of the archers skill level. String jump is the least concern at long range since the animal will safely be several strides away by the time the arrow gets there anyway.

Hitting African soil on the 24th of January with the family (Wife and two kids, 2 and 8yrs) with hunthardsafaris. Hunting for Blue duiker, cape grysbok and plenty of warthog in the eastern cape.
After that it's target of opportunity with some animals on the bucket list.

Hitting cape town with the family for a nice holiday after a few days of hunting :)

Heading back to South Africa with the wife in late August for Nyala and Eland. At least they are the top two on the list. Want a Buffalo but life dictates that I do not do that yet. One day......
Hope everyone has great success and a safe trip. Hope to see some of you in Dallas.

Well guys I had to stay at home while most here in Africa are attending the shows in the States.
But I still had a plan or two up my sleeve.
If your attending the SCI convention in Las Vegas February 4-7, 2015, please stop by the Buffalo Range Safaris booth, #3414, for a visit.
Nick Ohanesian and Barry Styles are two of the guys associated with Limpopo Big game Safaris and you can speak to them about a safari to Africa.
Nick would also be glad to fill in about he wonderful work they do by protecting the endanger Black Rhino population in Zimbabwe at the Chiredzi African Wildlife Trust / CRC.

    Regards Bossie

I had a pretty busy last half of the year in Africa, logging over 50 hunting days from August 1 through November 5.
I don't have any Africa plans at the current time, but I am always open to something interesting that may pop up.

I do plan to archery hunt for elk in Arizona as I have the bonus points to draw a tag in a very good area.
I actually have a lot of points in several different states for all species, and have neglected hunting at home much since beginning to hunt Africa 3 years ago.
I'll hunt Texas in spring and summer as usual for turkey, axis deer, black buck antelope, aoudad and whatever may show up.
I have tons of options stateside...

My top plan for the year 2015 is a trip to Turkey in late March to hunt trophy Bezoar Ibex with Recep Ecer. I have wanted to do this for a long time and I finally hit upon a great opportunity at a tremendous value through a hunt agent friend of mine.
I was booked to go with 2 friends during February, but my work schedule created a conflict that I thought was going to be a problem for me. One simple request later, Recep and his nephew & partner Emrah Erdal kindly allowed me to reschedule at my convenience, adding to my confidence in his operation.

I have actually just recently even been offered an additional permit to share with a fellow hunter that may wish to accompany me on my trip. Even if I had not seen they're awesome U-Tube hunting videos, I believe these guys are going to be great to hunt with!

This was my first time picking up the bow after my arm injury and recuperation.
Backed the bow down to around 70 pounds to give my arm a break (to start).
Sights are off, but grouping well.
Short range for muscle building for now.

We'll see where those distances can get to by wheels up time. :)

Yes but I am trying to figure out how to get hannes from hartzview or some of their staff to go on ahead of me. I am spoiled having trackers, skinners, chefs and daily room service. Will not have much more than I can carry on my back.

We have ranch Bison here and they are not that hard to hunt. More a meat hunt.
We have a draw for an area up north for Wood Bison that I am still waiting for.
BUT, there are folks who guide (in another part of the province) for these big boys and there are no tags required.
Sorry, I can't recommend a specific outfit to you.

Thanks Wayne. A bison hunt can be about whatever one wants out of it. For me, a 1-2 day look around the area, pick one out and boom. Most offer all the meat, hide and head for the price which varies from maybe 2500 to 7k for a big 8-10 year old monster bull. I would be happy with a younger, better tasting 3-5 year old bull. I am looking at South Dakota and Nebraska primarily, perhaps Montana, my favorite state after my own. What one is really paying for is a big pile of meat and a big shaggy rug, and a chance to shoot an iconic animal. I am going to do this, just where and when to figure out.

Exactly what I got. A huge pile of meat and that rug is by the fireplace.
