What outfit has the Nyakasanga area now?

CMS the last I heard.

I believe they had and/or have most of the quota. Maybe not all though.

When I hunted in 2018 after they started hunting there, the odd outfit still had quota I believe.

For 2025 CMS has most of the quota. For 2026 and 2027 I’d ask CMS and D&Y what the status is. Outfitters purchase quota from the concession holder in that area.

I know it’s a premium Safariland area. I have always been curious what their Buffalo daily rates are to hunt there. I have hunted all around that concession. I really like the quality plains game opportunities.

I know it started to get up there. And right fully so like you said. It's amazing area. And large and wild. With great species too.

I was BEYOND lucky. I had booked with Buzz in Dande in mururu camp and closer to the sept hunt they had picked up Nyakasanga and with other clients before and after me, I was upgraded to hunt there. What a first safari I had!

It’s my understanding after talking with Dalton that Dalton and York safari company has secured all the quota for Nyakasanga beginning 2026. I hunted there with CMS in 24 and am booked with D&Y for ‘26. While it’s a huge area there were no less than five groups ( including mine ) hunting during my ‘24 safari. Wasn’t a major problem but did interrupt a couple hunts. Would be interested if you guys have different info. Thanks

It was my understanding as of now it’s only 2026.

Are you saying it’s D&Y for ‘26 only?

I have a hunt booked with D&Y for 26 also. My understanding is that they are going to build a new camp on the river. I doubt that they would do that if they only had quota for one year. The last time I talked with York it sounded as if all of the DG quota for next year is taken. They may be sharing with someone but I don't think so.

Writing must of been on the wall as it seemed like CMS was getting quota in a few other areas. So maybe they knew this was coming idk

When I was there, I was told by CMS they build and take down their camp every year per concession holder’s requirements. No permanent structures at all, no footprints that indicate anyone was there.

Yes, that is true for CMS. It was a small entirely tented camp.
I think the D&Y camp will be tented also but with a stone and thatch dining/kitchen/bar area overlooking the river.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
