What Areas Have You Hunted in Tanzania?

What areas have you hunted in Tanzania? What species did you take? How many days? If you have hunted in more than one area how did they compare? For those of you unfamiliar with Tanzania you can use these hunting maps as reference.

I have hunted the Selous mostly, but have hunted the Mayowasi, Runga, and several others...The Mayowasi and Kigosi are pretty well tied up by TGT these days and they are excellent but terribly expensive by comparison to the rest of the Safari Companies...

Today I prefer the Selous and I book a lot of hunts in the Selous for my clients and the hunting is outstanding if you get the right block. I have shot some awesome buffalo in there and my companies kill outstanding elephant every year..Tanz. lions are big but usually not big manes, Leopards are the best Africa has to offer IMO...

Tanzania is the last of the great African tented safaris IMO...

Ray... seems that you are very well travelled in Tanzania. I am based in Tanzania and have hunted throughout the country, but operate mainly out of the Kilombero Valley. It is a special part of Tanzania that we put on the world hunting map and is today renowned for its' exceptional buffalo and lion hunting as well as one of the only places where the Puku antelope is in abundance. I am new to the forum and am trying to plan a 2012 Buffalo hunt for my son as a college graduation present. Any suggestions on a PH and other resources? I'm not a hunter and would appreciate very much any advice you may have. I am leaning towards Tanzania after visiting the Houston Safari show last weekend.
