Had a good hunt this afternoon. We’ve still gotta get Seth a good’n. He was covered in does and fawns all afternoon.

This was also the first time I got to test out my new rifle. I spent the summer developing a load for this. It’s a 6.5 Creedmore and I love the caliber. I know I know, but in my older age with bad shoulders it saves me a lot of discomfort after a days shooting.
It is an interesting rifle. It’s a literal 1of 1. It was a prototype made by Sabatti, they decided to change the bolt design and never went into production with it. It’s the only one and I was lucky enough to stumble on it as I have a friend that worked for IFG. I had been drooling over it every since they shipped it to them to test it. Well..... I finally got to buy it over the summer and it’s the most accurate rifle I own. I’m shooting my hand loads with Barnes 127 gr LDX’s and it’s a tack driving machine.

Nice deer! Thanks for sharing

Another great buck!

Someone is gonna be busy this weekend filling the freezer.
Congratulations on a beauty of a buck.

Lovely buck.

Though I do not own a Creedmore, I am a huge fan of the 6.5 and have taken a lot of deer with a 6.5x57 (virtually the same ballistics). It has always seemed perfectly tailored to deer.

Very nice buck and interesting rifle too. Congratulations on both.

Good deer, congratulations. Looks like it's warmed up there some.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
