Any of yall see a muzzle brake like this? Is in my "new" in the box 1974 Winchester Custom Shop model 70 Super Express. It's supposedly custom built and fitted by a Winchester gunsmith in the custom shop. I've never seen or heard of one with slots facing forward and the guys at the ffl shop I have here in town haven't either. It looks cool and it doesn't seem to be as offensive to bystanders as a normal brake but I've never shot another 375 so idk if it's actually effective or not.

Interesting. Seems like it would defeat the intended purpose of recoil reduction with vents forward. Have never seen one like that.

I would agree that there seems to be some counter intuitive physics at work. However, I can at least promise your PH and tracker will hate it whatever the origin.

It would be even better without a muzzle brake at all. Shorter more responsive overall barrel length = easier to get into action in the thick stuff.

Honestly the sounds isn't bad at all. I stood off to the side, not as close as a ph would but fairly close, while my dad shot it and it wasn't offensive. I like the way it sounds it's easier on the ears than my unbraked 308 or 06. I'm guessing the forward facing vents don't direct the sound sideways like others do but I still don't know why they're made like that.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
