Not that I’ve noticed. I’ve bought some pretty high dollar Swarovski optics from him over the past year.

I did not state that very well. I know he retained Swarovski, but it seems he has added (and has significantly more inventory) of lines of significantly lesser quality. I used to check cameralandNY on at least a monthly basis and last several times I have looked for a particular Swarovski all I have seen is something like “temporarily out of stock”. Seems like he no longer has S&B, and has not for years. He seemingly used to get most of the trade show demos, particularly for Swarovski, but not for years as well. Doug is great. Great guy to talk with and very knowledgeable. Although I never asked, if you called in he would always give better pricing on the phone than advertised. He once offered a crazy price on show Z6i EEs if I took all of them. . . and I passed. Ooooof.

The one you linked is the new 34mm tube Z8i+. Their description says 30mm but that’s a mistake - it’s 34mm tube

He still does most of the high end brands like Swarovski, Leica, Tangent Theta, Nightforce, Kowa, Zeiss, Steiner etc etc, but he has added lots of lower end brands as well to broaded the brands as many customers just cannot afford the high-end products. And as for "show demo's" - the manufacturers used to sell their booth products after the shows, but now they pack it up and take it to the next show - it's become too costly for them to sell at the prices they used to.

Also, with SO many SKU's it's hard to stock them all - easier to just order in what you don't have in stock. Especially with Swarovski these days, as they pretty much have all their SKU's in stock or incoming in relatively short time periods.

Anyway, he's a great guy and always willing to help.
