Good day to all Members
I really want to get hold of a Powder computer Slide rule to computer manually different loads/muzzle velocity ect...I know it is a item not found easily, but would really like to be able to get hold of one if available...I will upload photos off on when I visit a friend who have one ...have anyone seen such an item before?(y)

Members, I am looking for a Powley Computer and psi Calculator. (y)

My god, why? I have not used a slide rule since high school. What a pain it was. Thank the good lord for the fine engineers Texas Instruments, so that slide rules went the way of buggy whips.

Just to use it for the fun of using it and to determine how accurate the Quick loads system is in comparing it with the use of the powder computer. A friend of mine is from the old school, he uses one and I want to learn from him , I need one for myself ....(y)

I have an old Powley Computer somewhere, I haven't seen it in years though. I'll look around.

I have one I bought in the mid '70's. I still use it for initial loading for the unusual calibers I enjoy developing loads for. The Powley Computer is also available online but I don't have the website listed. I'm sure it could be found with a little searching. The info is all based on IMR single base powders. Good luck in your search.

BobT, thank you kindly , if possible will you be willing to sell it ? I searched the internet, to no avail, looked at e-Bay as well still no Powley computer...but I will keep at it ..Steve, do you use the Powley computer as a comparison tool when re-loading?

Truth be told, I take the easy route and use the online Powley more often than I use my "hard copy" version. The online Powley computes everything at 49,000 psi and one can elaborate it from there. Try http://kwk.us/powley.html to see if that gets you where you need to be.
There is also www.jbmballistics.com for all computations of downrange ballistics and such. It's a very useful site.

The few times I've had actual velocity figures, jbm has proven to be extremely close to actual downrange trajectories. Any variations I get can be attributed to my errors shooting. When I'm on, it's on. I like it.

Gert, is this what you're looking for? If so, you may PM me.
