I should be duck hunting!

Hung a suet feeder in the yew that overhangs the deck. The woodpeckers love it.

First rays of sunshine. From the window of my cabine in mountains of Salzburg country, Austria. Ready for the morning stalk.
It's good gams hunting in this days.

The sky looks ominous, but the swirls are not visible to the eye. What you can see, but not in the picture, are seals, ducks and gulls in the water. This is the bayside inlet where the Atlantic crosses into Moriches Bay on eastern Long Island.

My daughter and son in law moved out of inside the perimeter of Atlanta and bought a house in Stone Mountain. This is what greeted her this morning in her back yard!

I just saw this. I know Atlanta well. Some of the biggest deer in the state are said to be around the airport. I know a guy who has a friend who bow hunts around Hartsfield.

Fire in the sky over the Alaska North Slope tonight

It was a long day yesterday so 2 hours to dark I sat watching over some dwarf sorghum plots with the muzzleloader six deer came out on cue but I knew from trail cam data a week prior that with the weather we've been having the big boys knocked their antlers off.. so with this mild 35f no wind light snow I was anticipating seeing anything and everything that was left then I turned around and saw a shadow 20 minutes of dark walking towards me I thought I might have to shoot Sasquatch LOL turned out to be a builder that's doing work for me wanted to walk me through stuff he went for a long walk to find me and those dear blue back up onto the mountain he apologized profusely but this was the one instance where it really didn't matter I wasn't going to shoot any does or fawns or bucks without antlers... It was just great to be out!

A view of the backyard after the freak snowstorm, I’m located on the Alabama gulf coast.
A foggy look towards the house from where a whitetail fell.
Pictures about a week apart.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
