Trophy/reloading/man cave build

He is seeing if it is worthy of his stamp of approval.

Like the room. I remember an old hunting book from the 1980's that talked about trophy rooms. Dark wood for skulls, mt goats and Dall's sheep and light wood for darker colored animals.

Always liked that.

Lights make a huge difference.

I don't like dark rooms as I can't get enough light in my eyes normally to make things work. Just don't have enough light reception to be happy with that kind of a room. it is pretty though. I don't actually care for forest for the same reason. I feel like someone turned my lights out.

Getting closer!

Started putting some things in the room. I am not going to put anymore elk in the room as they take up a lot of space.

I plan to put some 8x10 or so photos next to some of the trophy’s from each of the actual hunts.

I was curious how the dark walls were going to work out, but I see it’s fantastic. Good lighting is something I need to work on in my room. Yours makes the mounts “POP” great job!

What a fabulous design and execution! Congratulations!!

Outstanding! Love the contrast between the corrugated metal and the wood. Well done.

Me likey--congratulations.
Glad to see your family and friends will enjoy the mounts. Went to a Mariano's restaurant in Dallas and there were 6 mountain sheep heads which had been DONATED to the place! Some very impressive measurements on the Big Horn, and especially the Desert Big Horn. Kind of made me sad it was all just given away. My wife was nonplussed to know how much all those hunts would have cost!

Room Looking Good !!!

For a reloading room/workshop you need all the light you can get and showing off the trophies is secondary. Just sayin.
At least that is how I built mine over 20 years ago. And make it twice as big as you think you need. Mine is full and overflowing to my barn.

It's coming along beautifully. Congrats!!! BTW, I see what I believe is a cigar humidor below the TV. Will you be smoking in this room, and if you are, did you put a ventilation unit? Congrats on the IPSC trophy. (y) (y)
