Just start planning your second hunt. July? Take winter clothes.
Lol No kidding Hogpatrol, though I'd rather be hunting when it's cold. I do alot of field work year around here in the Ohio River Valley states, it's much easier to dress up for warmth than to try to stay cool.
I already have List #2 bouncing around in my head (gemsbuck, bushbuck, red hartebeest, etc). Cape Buffalo maybe....
Trogon thank you for the kind words
Lots of rain and plenty of animals for anyone wanting some serious trigger time
I really wish I could join you, my doctors have other plans. :-(
All the best and maybe next year
My first African animal was a trophy Mountain Reedbuck I got within the first 5 minutes of my first hunt. Not far from this area. Then on a Vaal Rhebok and Aoudad hunt, also in the East Cape, the damned Mountain Reedbuck all over the place kept blowing my stalks
I'd love to cull a few....
That's a hot barreled hunt! Sounds like fun!
Warthog are the stalk blowers in our neck of the woods
