MEXICO, SOUTH AFRICA
I finally have my lion and lioness hunt booked in South Africa for October of this year, I already bought my rifle for the occasion (.458 Win mag) but now I need to get to Africa, I am Mexican and I live in Mexico. I want to fly via Los Angeles to Johannesburg with a stopover in Turkey, but I wanted to know what permits or licenses I need to travel through the US and Turkey, in South Africa I will use Rifle permits, but I need help with the others.

I do not plan to stay or leave the airport at any time, it is only transit, I hope you can help me. Greetings and thanks.

In my experience it is near impossible to bring a rifle into a country if you are not hunting there.
In transit may be OK (but not even that in Asia).
I would check with your travel agent such as Steve Turner of Travel With Guns.
Best of luck to you.
Cal

Transiting through Istanbul should be OK with the proper forms filled with Turkish Airlines. I don't know the procedure for transiting through the USA.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
