Again, I appreciate everyone's response that have shed light on Similar posts regarding Ballistics, the calculator, and overall science behind Recoil! … I was explained the difference in why there's such a Price Discrepancy with 458 Lott Ammunition Manufactures. Hornady's, Double Tap, at a reasonable price opposed to Federal's or Nosler's at "Double the Cost"
I've owned a 458 Lott since 2003, along with other DG calibers of a lesser extent. But I've never really considered what a raucous this round is, until cont. researching, ballistics, efficacy, etc. It may have been undermined before purchase, the literature when Hornady Teamed with Ruger for the M77 MkII. As an essential wildcat, Hornady's 20 rnd's were extremely inexpensive, to the perceived buyer, at the time.
I've spent years practicing with the MkII and Hornady's 500 grn Solids, others softpoints for accuracy, and a managed degree of comfort in Recoil, if you could call it that, … however, I'd like to Upgrade to a different Round before I purchase. … As I Understand Powder Charge is relevant … "Has anyone experienced or suggest 458 Lotts most sever Round in noticeable Recoil" ??? ie, Federal's Cape Shock, etc. Curios if I'm splitting hairs or there are noticeable differences to cont. practice zeroing in?
Tanks!!!
