Subject "Stopping rifle"..

I was a bit amazed after shooting a 13,2 lbs .600 double rifle. I found that rifle to be controllable with the .900 - 110 - 7600 load. The relatively low velocity (1950 fps) makes the recoil much more manageable than the 2150 fps lot it seems....more like a looong heavy push..

So why build them as heavy as 15 - 16 pounds..?

But alas, the .600 NE is not allowed in Bots. and I cant afford one....so it is all very academic..

Not having shot a 700 or a 600 yet but i have played with loads for my 470 from 1800fps to 2300fps with the peregrine points which produce the lower pressures.

I agree the recoil does become a long push at the 1950fps compared to the snap of the 2150fps.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
