State Shoot

Good looking young man, Im proud of him and he’s worked hard. He’s had a very respectable showing at state this year. He’s going to continue to work hard and he will be on the podium at state before too long with how hard he’s been working.
He gets stronger every year and he’s literally just a couple of birds from placing in each discipline here at state.
Nothing in life is worth having unless you have to fight and work for it. He’s learning this and is developing the drive and winning attitude it takes to be successful in life.

Congrats y'all!

We haven't had a 100°F high temperature recorded here so far in 2019, but plenty of summertime left here too. It's a nice change from the really hot really dry spell we went through last year.

The last time SA (TX) went a whole year without a 100°F or higher temperature for the whole calendar year was 2007.

Eric, I mean no offence, but with Seth shooting this well, it may be time to look into getting him connected with a good shotgun coach. Talking to a TRSA or similar organization for shotgunners would be a good place to start.

congrats on the shoot! Glad to see young people with interests in shooting sports.

I agree 100%. We had a shooting “coach” that helped for a while but once he passed the basics that was pretty much it. They are extremely hard to find up here. We’ve been looking but no joy yet.

Eric, I ment TSRA Texas State Rifle Association. Sorry for the goof. You also might call the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to see if they can recommend somebody or if they offer a "camp" for young shotgunners.

Congratulations all.

The Olympic center is a great idea. Thanks. I will call them today.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
