Forget about PHASA. I have been a member for more than 30 years but because of them supporting canned lion hunting I have left the organization. There are plenty ethical outfitters in South Africa.

You are Wrong and Misleading Frits, PHASA stands for "Responsible hunting for sustainable life and livelihoods" Canned Hunting is illegal in South Africa and you can go to jail. We support all form's of Legal Hunting.

I hope all our friends at AH knows this!!.

I do not want to highjack your post as Phasa is not what it is all about ..... I just need to put FACTS out there. We have more members than we did after the disgruntled 70 members left . The total loss was less than 10 %. We did loose 350 members due to the actions of some of these ex members from July of 2016 to end of October 2017. That is fact ..... not fake news. Most of these are joining again . And the outfitters you might have talked to are probably the 10 % that left...... Our members made out 90 % of African Outfitters at both shows that are members of Organizations . If you have to discredit your opposition to make yourself look good it says a lot about your ethics ....... Good luck on your hunt !

Like I said, you have a BIG problem with perception, but thanks for the stats.

Which province are you proposing to hunt in RSA?

I am totally open. I was going to check into a newly formed company that a friend of mine told me about. He hunted with the owner last year, who was at the time a PH, under a different outfitter. Now I find that this entity doesn't even have a website, isn't a member of any proper organizations that I can find, nor does it have track record for that matter... I need to spend my money with a reputable company. So the research continues.

Well you are supporting captive-bred lion hunting. It’s the same disgrace as canned lion hunting. Both have nothing to do with hunting whatsoever. Offered by greedy people to shooters.
