Hello again. I am continuing my research. I did contact one US agent at the recommendation of a friend and he recommended Paul Stones Safaris. Can't really find anything about him on this site. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Paul Stones is a well respected member of the SA Professional Hunting community. He also serves(d) on the board of PHASA and has an excellent reputation.

Contact Paul direct And chat with him.

He is very helpful and a real gentleman. Haven't hunted with him yet, but hope to soon. All the homework I did indicates he is a respected and ethical hunter, who wants the best experience for his clients!

:D

Thanks for your reply. I am trying book a hunt in Zimbabwe for next September. Wouldn't it be better to go through a Zimbabwean outfitter?

Markschu,
Many outfits offer hunts in multiple African countries. I think the response here from well respected AH members about Paul's reputation, speaks for itself. Contact him and get this hunt sealed.
Stay safe and shoot straight.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Zim is a place you need to do your homework on. Particularly areas/concessions and of course the hunter etc.

I have spent a lot of time researching and what Paul can offer in Matetsi certainly looks like one of the hunts worth doing. This is from a concession, trophy potential and camp basis.

Do yourself a Cavour and if you don't go with Paul, do PLENTY homework on any Matetsi hunt, as there are plenty on offer that are unlikely to deliver what is being sold!

Pm me if you like, I will share some of the info I have put together, but even a phone call to Paul will assist, as his feeling about areas etc is well supported through all my other research with other hunters and Zim industry related people I know.
I am also planning to hunt Zim next year for Buff, but for other reasons and knowing the risks involved, I have pretty much firmed up a hunt for October.

I am sure I will hunt with Pull soon though!

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
