SOUTH AFRICA: Hippopotamus Hunt With Pawprint Safaris 2017

My thoughts exactly. They didn't want to kill him because he catches the reed rats. No telling how many like him were in those reeds.

Well at least you shot something. Will it be joining the others in the trophy room?

Charlie, when I connected my PC, I was expecting to see your pic with a huge river horse but :(

Well, it will have to be next year. Anyhow, you had a great experience (y)

I was just wondering why you didn't have a new python belt or hat band, but I get it now. Sorry about the hippo, but you can always keep trying. I have always said, Africa hunting isn't over until you head to the airport.

Charlie,

I'm glad that you had a great hunt and made it back safely. Thanks for a great report. I'm sure you're looking forward to next year!

Glad you had a exciting hunt and there's always next time. Was the bull you were trying for the only big bull you saw in the area?

Great report Sir. I know you'll get him next time.

Charlie, give the tracker a radio and make him run, looks like a plan.

That excitement of having the bull so close and pissed off early in your hunt made the whole hunt worthwhile !!!

@jeff, you spot on with your comment, have an animal that can kill you, charging you down is priceless. You don't forget that feeling in a rush.

Charlie thank you for a great time always an honour to have you in camp!

I really like the story and how you kept us going little by little. Sounds like a hell of an adventure and memories to be made. Congrats on it.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
