and I was doing some case prep. 470 NE, 450-400 NE, 45-70 and 32 Special. First thing that dawns on me is - as I get older, I am mostly loading really old, rimmed cartridges! The second thing that hit me was how strange that the 32 Special and the 470 NE use the same size primer (albeit a magnum primer in the 470). Seems like the 470 could use a little more horsepower...or the 32 Spl is getting some overkill! The previous loads in these two cases were, respectively, 28 grains of Reloder 7 and 105 grains of IMR 4831. That's quite a span for priming duties...not to mention the powder column length difference! Lastly, I don't think there has been a day in the past two weeks that I have not been in the loading room for at least a little while, doing something productive (sometimes I just go in there and stare for a bit, but not lately). Be honest...do you think I need therapy?
