Single Shot Saturday - Show us your Single Shots!

My Ruger #1 .300 Winchester. Metal finish by Black Ice Coatings to withstand Alaska conditions. Jard Trigger.

Maybe a bit off beat... but it is a single shot. It is still new enough to me that I haven't hunted it.

CVS Scout pistol, in 6.5 Grendel. I am working on a promising load using 156 grain Lapua Mega bullets.

This one is becoming one of my favorite field guns. Shiloh Sharps in .45-70. Somehow in its prior life the metal finish became damaged and someone poorly removed the blueing, leaving a brushed in-the-white finish. It shoots great and points well, has beautiful wood and sure don’t have to worry about hurting it!

I bought this Ruger No.1 from a friend who was needing to pay hospital bills. I told him he could buy it back whenever, but unfortunately he passed away a couple of years later.
.45-70 with Leupold Vari-XIII 1.5-5.

That's tough. Sorry to hear that. I hope you hang onto that rifle for a good long time in his memory.

Here are mine:

1 - My "baby"--H&H .375 Flanged Magnum, with which I've already hunted 3 continents (soon to be 4):

Here's my Watson Brothers Martini in .303, lying against an old pepper tree in Africa:

Here's my Westley Richards Model 97 in .500 NE, currently being worked on:

And here's my last acquisition--a lovely Alex Henry in .450 BPE:

I love my single shots--and I feel like I'm losing my innocence now that I'm planning on taking a Westley Richards Mauser as a second gun on my upcoming safari! :p

Here is my only single shot (apart from my muzzleloader). It’s a Heym 44b in .270 Win. I hunted Whitetail a bit with it this year, but haven’t harvested an animal with it yet.
It makes a nice pair with my .375H&H Heym 88b sidelock double.

Sorry for the loss of your friend, remember him with his rifle. It is beautiful.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
