I'd like to invite the AH Nation to San Angelo Texas on March 7th to our 12th annual banquet. It is a great time to meet fellow AH'ers and talk all things safari! You may be surprised to know little ole San Angelo (city of 100,000) is the number 1 501c4 SCI Chapter in the world in terms of fundraising to SCI. Come see what we are up to and raise a glass to conservation!
Link for tickets below:

It is just one week until our fantastic chapter banquet. I know a few of you will be joining me for the first time. Everyone else can follow along online on Saturday!

It’s all coming together!

I am excited to have Jono from the Round The Fire podcast joining us at our table. He does such a good job with his pod. Check it out!

We had a sold out crowd at 750 people, ribeye dinner, huge silent auction, big bucket raffle for top quality guns etc, and a 36 item live auction that would rival any of the large orgs events. Blake Barnett was our emcee and we had celebrities such as Keith Warren in attendance. We broke our records and look to hold our position as the #1 501c4 Chapter in the world in terms of fundraising to SCI!
Hope y'all can join us next year, same time, same place.

The absolute worse hunt I went on, an Alaskan moose hunt, was based on an endorsement and several hunt videos with the outfitter by Keith Warren. It appears that Keith Warren will say nice things for a free hunt.

I was watching some of the live auction through an online link. Looked like a good time there and auctioneer did a good job maximizing fundraising.

Thanks. He is good!

Hate that I missed it, next year for sure!! Solid crew in San Angelo all good people and hard workers with the end goal being raising money for SCI and conservation!! Atta boy to you and your crew.

Not sure derailing the thread and diminishing the fundraising efforts of the San Angelo SCI Chapter and @Philip Glass were worth the negative comment about a TV Personality and you falling for the outfitters marketing tactics.

I was wondering the same thing never heard of Keith Warren.
he has likely done more hunting tv than anyone else. Mostly deer hunts.

Thanks. Yea I’m not sure of the relevance here. I was hoping that adding some of The Who’s who of hunting that were there would be a good thing.

Point taken. I did move my response to a question about my post to a DM so that we didn’t do more hijacking.

You’re good, in all honesty, it’d be a good one for a mod to move over to the other thread. It brings up a very valid question/topic

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
