Rifle for Long Length of Pull

I am glad you found that the R8 had the adaptability and adjust abilityto work for you. I understand your problem set. I an 5'11" and long arms and long neck. My rifle LOP is 15 1/4 and shotgun is 15 5/8 depending on drop and cast. With a long LOP about the only factory rifles I have ever found that fit is Double rifles. So Have either had to do a custom stock or a 1/2-1in spacer and 1 3/8 kickeeze. It doesn't look the best but does get the LOP correct. Since your LOP is a inch longer it will be harder for you on normal off the shelf rifle.

I have a longer LOP as well. My Blaser R8 with the professional (non-thumbhole) stock comes in at 15-3/8" with 2 stock extension inserts. There is one more insert I could put on for another 3/8", making the total 15-3/4".

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
