You never know what you're going to come across when your in the bush, very cool find! If you could get it back home that would be a great addition to the trophy room, a great conversation piece. Thanks Jeff.
This is a fairly common occurance with Kudu bulls, something which I have found on a number of occations. The law of the bush is "survival of the fittest", obviously these two never got to claim the title!
Two Cape Buffalo Die Fighting These two Cape Buffalo were found dead in Mountain Zebra National Park (South Africa) after apparently battling and their horns became interlocked... I actually once came upon two Kudu that had become interlocked like this, one was already dead and the other one...
I got these fotos sent to me by a friend.
Two young bulls dueled to the death.
The kudu rut is not anything like a deer rut. They are still very much aware of their surroundings to a large degree and cannot be called in like deer or elk.
The grey ghosts always stay elusive but we do find them locked together like this every so often.
IF YOU DON'T COME UP WITH ANY .458, I WILL TRY AND GET MY KID TO PACK SOME UP FOR YOU BUT PROBABLY WOUDN'T BE TILL THIS WEEKEND AND GO OUT NEXT WEEK.
PURA VIDA, SETH
I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.
