Here are the skeletal remains of two Kudus that died from becoming interlocked while fighting.

Thanks to Jeff Goodall for sharing this picture with us. Click here to read all about his hunt in South Africa.

You never know what you're going to come across when your in the bush, very cool find! If you could get it back home that would be a great addition to the trophy room, a great conversation piece. Thanks Jeff.

This is a fairly common occurance with Kudu bulls, something which I have found on a number of occations. The law of the bush is "survival of the fittest", obviously these two never got to claim the title!

Here is another picture emailed to me of two kudu bulls found dead with locked horns... Photograph sent to AH by Claudio Delfabro.

unlucky kudus:confused:

I got these fotos sent to me by a friend.
Two young bulls dueled to the death.

The kudu rut is not anything like a deer rut. They are still very much aware of their surroundings to a large degree and cannot be called in like deer or elk.
The grey ghosts always stay elusive but we do find them locked together like this every so often.

That's pretty cool. Pedestal mount, anyone?

Kudu horns found on a farm in Namibia, the sad story is obvious.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
