Looking for suggestions for a country for Red Stag in Europe. Leaning towards Poland but open to other countries. Any suggestions on the best country to be looking for outfitters? I have always used Worldwide Trophy Adventures but WTA has lots of outfitters in Europe and I am looking for someone who has actually hunted. Ideally would be able to add additional animals like Fallow deer or Mouflan if I score early. Looking to only for the hunting but for the experience of visiting the country.

Lots of countries to choose from. Croatia was very reasonably priced. Red and Mouflon will not be the same season, but Fallow and Red will be.

@VIGILAIRE was hunting where I was hunting Fallow. There were some nice Reds taken also. He maybe able to hook you with the owner.

I hunted my Red in area of Croatia then the Fallow.

I have hunted with the outfitters below but for Chamois and Roe Deer. They certainly have Red Stag though. I would not hesitate to go with either. I highly recommend them. Take a hard look at them. Marius in Romania is a sponsor here too. Leone who runs Italian Safari is top notch. He has hunts in Croatia and I think Austria too. Looking forward to hear what you do. Cheers!

Hungary has massive red stags - PM me if you want the details of an outfitter I have been with.

Hi! I'm going to Bulgaria this year. If you're interested, I can recommend my outfitter, with whom I've hunted in Europe for the last few years. He has experience with guests from the US, for example:

Or Red stag hunting in Slovakia, where I'm from:

Feel free to ask if you have any questions about hunting in Central Europe.

Hungary probably has the best, but pricey.

Romania has all you want, and we have a sponsor here who seems to statisfy AH Members.

I hunted Slovenia, Hungary and Austria last year, this year I am hunting Slovenia, Germany and Austria.

If you want the biggest possible stag you have a lot of options. If you want that stag to be huge and free range you have very few options.

If you just want a mountain stag and an awesome experience that is a different trip. Mountain stags could be combined with chamois. Mountain stags are small. High fence mountain stags in Austria are the exception.

WTA has absolutely prison rape prices on Europe. It has to do with their agent for Europe, not with what hunts actually cost here.

It also depends on how much you need your hand held. If that number is high, WTA is probably the best bet.

My agent hunts Hungary, Slovenia, Germany (not for non-EU citizens because of licensing), Czech Republic, Spain and the UK.

Poland has been my favorite European country to hunt. Something to be aware of that WTA might give you some security on. A lot of European agents outside Spain are not that familiar with international shipping. Make sure any agent you choose knows how to get your trophies back to you the proper way. Poland doesn’t necessarily have outfitters the way we think. They have agencies that organize your hunt and set you up with clubs selling part of their quota. Some clubs will be host more international hunters than others.

I had a great hunt in Transylvania and took a very nice stag with HuntRomania a few years back. I’ve hunted with Marius several times now including roe deer this spring. Great guy and guide to hunt with. I thought about heading back in September for another stag but drew a moose tag in Maine.

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
