Recommendation for a good performing 9.3X62?

I own a Sauer 100 Classic XT with the synthetic stock. As previous posters have commented the LOP (14.5”) and factory recoil pad could stand some improvement. I removed the factory pad, cut the stock back, expoxied a piece of wood inside the stock cavity to mount a grind to fit limbsaver pad. The stock is now a 13.5” LOP. I also sent it off for a paint job.
The pictures show the original factory, post limbsaver install and then final paint. Stock should be
Back in my hands next week.

Thinking about having my son's dipped, trying to decide on color. It's a 9.3x62

I have a guy here in So Dakota that I was thinking about for my 9.3 wood stock dipping it on burl maple he quoted me 75.00 to do it and about a 2 week turnaround.

I would bet that will look fantastic. When I had mine dipped in burlwood I had him top coat it with a satin clear oat that seems to be protecting the finish from scratches nicely.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
