I sincerely hope you're right good sir. It sure looks like it's moving that way. The thought of Putin being embarrassed makes me smile.

I honestly couldnt care less about Putin.. the world is full of merciless dictators and thugs.. hes just another shitty human doing shitty things, largely to his own people in his own self interest..

a country that has been our on again off again enemy since 1917 bankrupting itself and taking itself off the global threats list economically and militarily (conventional) however.. that makes me want to sing and dance naked around a camp fire (not that any of you want to see that :D :D :D )...

I guess I should be concerned about Italian-Canadians then. Those guys just won't stop waving their flags, even when their soccer team sucks.

And Irish pubs...perhaps we should be monitoring them more closely. I volunteer for that work.

This is probably a little unpopular but I think from a US perspective this is going exactly as planned. Russia is burning through equipment and men, a whole generation of Russian men will be wiped out. The families and loved ones left behind arent going to be supporting any new wars for a long time.

All of the hired mercenaries are getting sucked into battle and most likely killed. Those mercenaries arent going to places like Iran or other conflicts (some are there, but definitely a smaller pool of resources then before). Likewise Russia doesn't have the resources to assist Iran or even China if it decided to invade Taiwan.

From a US strategic perspective, the longer this goes on, the better. Which I feel is unfortunate for Ukraine and from a humanitarian perspective.
I believe what you described is the entire strategy of the EU, which loves the fact that Russia is being weakened and really don't care how long it goes on as long as they don't have to commit forces.

The EU has it's own problems, I believe that France, Belgium & the UK each provided more soldiers for ISIS than their own militaries over the last decade; and if they wanted too could start an uprising in any of those countries that the governments simply wouldn't have a chance in hell of putting down.

As usual, paranoid, xenophobic and bad at math,

Less than a thousand UK citizens fought with ISIS, while the UK military recruits about 15,000 a year, which is about 150,000 over a decade.

As usual you missed by a ratio of about, generously, 100:1.

Not bad, you have certainly done worse before!

But I bet Yosh is just spellbound by that one as well!

You really have a strange need to live in fear.

More government BS, my wife and I have been volunteering one Friday night a month handing out food at a local food bank for the last several years. We received an email from the coordinator last night that stated all volunteers have to undergo “Civil Rights training” to battle racism.
I already have a pretty good idea of what this “training” wiling entail so I believe that the food bank has just lost 2 reliable volunteers.
Such "coordinators" are why we "can't have nice things". Kudos for standing your ground!

On a different note, was reading that last week Ukraine took back over 75sq KM of territory back.

Has Putin miscalculated the war of attrition, where Ukraine now has its own war machine manufacturing enough munitions to keep them in the fight.
Showing they do hold the cards , maybe the ace of spades.

What is funny about your comment is...

I have actually been to the Bohemian Grove (not as a "member"... but in another capacity) :)

“Bohemian Grove” woulda been a perfect nickname for a hippie chick I used to hook up with back in the late 70s.

Damn. Opportunities missed.

That figure is not relevant to the topic of the post.

It actually is. You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

Standing guard over the owl, huh

Women applaud the right to kill a baby in the womb up to day of birth. Never mind the wretches applauding. Who are the doctors that would do this?
What was confusing about another article that explained it is they called it abortion care in late pregnancy. I guess trying to humanize the procedure.

I also did not know Alaska was another state that had no time limit on abortions. Being a red state I would have expected restrictions.

My boss was the member… I just dropped him off and did a handoff to the local security team… got a tour of their TOC and some of their “other” stuff.. then walked the common area and a couple of the houses a few hours before the official event began… it was an interesting array of people present…

I then got paid to sit my ass in a really nice hotel in wine country for a few days where I read and slept mostly while they all owl worshiped lol

Just remember.....the earth is supposed to lose gravity for 17 seconds tomorrow.

Don't float away.......LOL

not sure if this belongs here or on lighter note. could be political, or funny, or just news depending on your perspective. Seems some whippersnappers on their way back from DEFCON (annual hacker's conference in Vegas) to ATL shutdown the plane's on-board wifi and spoofed it with their own gear - it really isn't very difficult.

I used to go to this every year, but I'm just so done with Vegas.

To hackers, and those who've known me here for awhile know I live in that world, crappy cybersecurity is the equivalent of leaving all the doors and windows to your house, not merely unlocked, but wide open. For fun or profit, it doesn't matter.

No way they don't all go to federal prison.

Ok Boomer. Then enlighten me how the cost of property tax for a McDonalds franchise leads to an increase in wages for low paid workers, thus increasing their incomes high enough to pay federal income taxes?
