Politics

One of the few things I envy about America is exactly that, Canada is disproportionately skewed to benefit Quebec and Ontario , by the time Ontario is counted the election can generally be called.
If I’m not mistaken, I’d have to double check, but aren’t the Maritime provinces also weighted heavier by population than the west? Meaning it takes more Albertans to constitute a riding than it does in PEI?

I think your right although like you I’d have to look it up to refresh my memory to be sure, unfortunately it just means more liberal votes as for some reason the majority of east coasters love to bitch about the liberals and then turn around and elect more liberals. The last two elections I’ve been in the only blue riding in n.s. Unfortunately our mp chose to line his own pockets instead of representing his constituents so he crossed the floor and became a liberal.

Edit it takes 88xxx Nova Scotians and 115xxx albertians so you were indeed right.

Thats because in our current two-party system the voters have the option of the left candidate or the right. And many of them would rather have at least some of what the DSA is offering than tax cuts for the rich and no healthcare.
I believe that you are confusing Health Care and Insurance. Every citizen or non-citizen has access to health care, they may not have insurance to help pay the bill, but the ER in the charity hospital is gratis if they are unable to pay and non-charity hospitals too. (I did not use the term "free" because it's not free).

By the way Obamacare was supposed to end the ER as the free clinic, but of course it did not, along with its designed to fail features. And please don't try and sell me on single payer "Medicare for All." Medicare does not pay 100% and you still have to purchase a supplement to help for for the non-covered expenses.

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), aiding and abetting the enemy is prosecuted under Article 103b (10 U.S.C. § 903b), historically known as Article 104. [1, 2, 3]

Prohibited Conduct Under Article 103b
A service member or military person can be found guilty under this article if they knowingly do any of the following without proper authority: [1]
    • Aid or attempt to aid the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other items.
    • Harbor, protect, or give intelligence/information to the enemy.
    • Provide military education, military training, or tactical advice to the enemy.
    • Communicate, correspond, or hold any direct or indirect intercourse with the enemy. [1]

Penalties and Scope
    • Maximum Punishment: Because this is a severe security offense, a conviction under Article 103b can carry the death penalty or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct. [1, 2]
    • Accomplice Liability: General accessory and accomplice principles under the UCMJ (such as Article 77 for aiding and abetting) interact with substantive offenses, but directly supporting or facilitating adversary forces falls firmly under the specific prohibitions of Article 103b
UCMJ obviously does not apply. The alleged "leakers" who leaked intelligence that wasn't intelligence (according to Trump), leaked it to the US press not Iranian military. I strongly suspect this is all just a phony political stunt cooked up by the administration. Trump has built his reputation on selling misinformation and this seems to fit his agenda, i.e. trying to convince Congress to spend more money on armament to prolong his war with Iran indefinitely. I am surprised CBS took the bait. I'm also convinced Trump's witch hunt for "leakers" will be a dead end ... and he knows it. The risk he's taking is someone involved in the investigation may discover the information leaked is actually true and the Army is out of weapons. Then what? US vulnerability will be publicly confirmed and Trump's credibility shot in the arse ... again. I see this as a poorly thought out strategy. A loser any way you look at it. But hey, look at the source. He is the definition of "poorly thought out."

Idiot Murkowski against AG nominee because of accelerating weaponization of DOJ? Where was she during BHO and Brandon? Oh that’s right, she’s 100% RINO, a Dem in disguise all to get elected as a Repub in Alaska. Then play both sides to keep getting elected. What a scam! Yet the pop of Ak keeps voting for the scam. I guess as long as she makes the news as anti-Trump and keeps delivering the pork to her dependent welfare population of voters, they’ll keep voting for the goodies.

Hey BIGEASY I thought your guy BHO fixed healthcare
The Democrats passed a healthcare reform bill within the confines of capitalism and private businesses. I thought that's something you guys would like?
never mind he had to raid $700 bn from SS/Medicare to balance the fake books to sell Obamacare to begin with.
I thought the government reducing spending by $700 Billion would be something that you liked? Sounds like you're a big SS/Medicare fan, good to know.
I also see your guy is the obnoxious fat slob billionaire Mafioso wannabe from Chicago… makes sense.
That's the pot calling the kettle black. Have you ever seen a photo of Trump?

This, along with the recent Clay Travis offer of $10M to winner of a game between defending WNBA champs vs a High School boys of his choice, makes for great comedy of the hypocrisy of the lefties loonies of our society.

Enis is a great guy. He played part of his career in OKC and was a fan favorite.

I doubt he ever plays a minute in the WNBA but is pointing out their hypocrisy and will get them to change their rules.

I believe that you are confusing healthcare with emergency room services. ERs in many instances provide only immediate lifesaving care. If you have cancer you don't go there to get radiation or chemo. At least not at the ERs by me. An ER may diagnose a heart condition for you, but they don't perform the heart bypass surgery. Need an organ transplant? Sorry, out of luck yet again. ERs don't just hand out free insulin to whomever needs it. Sorry diabetics! If you get serious burns and need skin grafts?...Better have insurance.

Lets not pretend that ERs are able to take care of all your healthcare needs.

Maybe he'll find the leakers when he finally finds the guy's responsible for that 300 foot long gash in the reflecting pool lining caused by that mysterious box-cutter!

Exactly. When people start calling the bluffs, the real views show up.

ONTARIOHUNTER please enlighten us on Trump’s reverse discrimination within the NPS and how all that ties into wildfire prevention? Also, I have carefully read your entries on hunting access and your confrontations with landowners/managers, no matter who is legally in the right, and can only conclude you are in need of psychiatric help. That added to your prior posts of being an MP and your recommendations for using lethal force by shooting in leg or knee so am now certain you are mentally unwell. Enjoy your tag team kabal with JRUBY and BIGEASY. You all deserve each other. I am both lucky and blessed to live and hunt no where near you and hopefully may our paths never cross.

The dude off in the corner mumbling to himself.

Too bad @Tanks or @Mark Ouellette were not in this parking lot to put one between his eyebrows before he killed and wounded innocents.

I feel the same way - really not interested in one who prays at the alter of Donald J Trump.

This whole missile inventory debate really isn't for those who are basically clueless about munitions - particularly rocket propelled munitions - even CNN or FOX reporters. The critical path for acquisition is shelf life of the munition. All of our interceptors and battlefield missiles such as ATACMS or its replacement the PrSM (fired from the same launcher) have solid rocket boosters. It should be clear to even to former MP SPEC 4's that liquid propellants aren't practical in a tactical environment.

Production and acquisition of these systems is predicated on maintaining a steady baseline inventory of the weapons. Acquisition is established to create and maintain that inventory through normal attrition - such as training and shelf-life. Obviously, that is not the cheapest acquisition model because assembly lines maintain a rather slow annual output. However, because no one knows when the next conflict will take place, buying a huge quantity over a short period simply may mean the inventory collapses due to aging at a critical point.

Therefore, though DOD has stepped up procurement of various expended munitions, that acquisition will still be metered over the next several years, not because the missiles are difficult to build, but to insure no artificial expiration cliff has been built into the inventory.

It also looks like both Northrop and Lockheed Martin are working with DOD through a series of new contracts to build and stockpile those components that do not have a critical shelf life such as electronics and missile bodies which will speed up future assembly.

But the notion that the inventory can't be replaced quickly mantra coming from a lot of the reporting and influence bloviators is simply wrong.
