One might think 400 years of melting pot crossbreeding by my ancestors would correct that genetic flaw but occasionally a Chauceresque bit of satire, irony or sarcasm slips out.

Sarcasm being the lowest form of humor tends to be the place I wallow most comfortably.

I have seen several Paxton interviews. Between those and what I read about him, he doesn't sound like someone I would vote for. And for some reason it doesn't surprise me Trump endorsed him. I personally think Republicans are pissing away whatever they could have gained the past year plus. That lion hunting video with everyone shooting across each other comes to mind.

Much like the last presidential election, it’s going to come down to a lessor of evils decision…

Cornyn is seen as weak on 2A issues by a lot of Texans… and he’s seen as “establishment… neither bode well with the working class conservative or with those on the far right…

Paxton was a pretty loud voice opposing much of the COVID nonsense and is closely aligned with Abbott… both give him some advantage with the “common man” Texan…

Personally, I prefer Cornyn…

But if Paxton beats him in the run off, rest assured I will pull the lever extra hard in November for Paxton…

Because the other option is Telarico… the Texas version of Virginia’s white witch… a guy that claims to be a moderate.. but whose track record proves he is an extreme leftist..

Both Cornyn and Paxton have their pros amd cons, but I too will be decidedly voting for whichever one of them moves on to the November ballot.
It scares me a bit how many lunatics on my street have Talarico signs in their yards. But Im not surprised either- they're the same ones that had Biden then Harris signs.

It's cringe worthy to see how many voters are wooed by slick talking snake oil salesmen, that think they will get something. The current Democrat party gives nothing but economic pain and misery.
