Ok, but do tax payers currently pay for executions? You’re still giving me examples of using “public” resources. If anything, the argument should be that the condemned persons estate should pay for his own execution.Many years ago when Gary Gilmore was to be executed in Utah with it being the first execution in years after the US reinstated it there were lawsuits about using tax payer funds to purchase the bullets and firearms to carry it out.
In his case there were quite a few citizens stepping up volunteering their ammo, rifles, and time to proceed with the execution.
I believe that in most death penalty cases there are those who would step up to do the same.
