He is after all an expert on everything else. He makes Jerimiah Johnson look like a piker with his lone ventures into the Great White North; knows everything about dangerous game hunting and never had to leave South Africa; can do anything with his trusty Browning Auto 12 that Vincent Hancock could ever hope to accomplish with his Beretta DT11; is an experienced LEO after perhaps two years assigned as a junior enlisted man to an MP battalion; is such an expert with the 1911 that the pretenders who shoot thousands of rounds annually are dumbfounded; is a disabled veteran (the sort of thing never mentioned by the many actual combat veterans on this forum); can reference if not quote constitutional law; and as we all learned a week or so ago, has a PHD in history.
Awesome assessment. :A No1:

At least we agree on that. Blocking members doesn't show much maturity. And the shoe seems to fit ...
Welp, I guess it's my time to try and encourage people to act like adults again. Congrats, now you sit in the same boat as Brent. You must both be so proud.

So, responding to your statement. In principle, I agree.

However, worth remembering, that as far as I'm concerned, you and Brent provide exactly the same function, and are actually pretty similar as contributors, political leanings aside.

You are both going to spew incoherent, purely partisan nonsense on topics you know little about. Your content is not useful. I will not learn anything. I will not be able to believe anything you say without first fact checking. You will not provide sources. You will do nothing to establish the veracity of the crap you share. You will not provide any additional insight or experience on any issue at hand. You will not debate in good faith. You are not seeking to test or develop your position.

You provide about as much value as I'd get from an AI query on Google; "Summarize all the left (or in Brent's case, right) leaning headlines being shared on fringe sites on the internet". Beyond identifying the topics that the political fringes are butthurt about in any given moment, neither of you provide any value to the discussion.

My response to that, is to simply skim over your content, and every now and again, to encourage you both to do better. Deep down, I know that's a pointless exercise.

In that context, what would I lose by just cutting you out of the thread entirely? Nothing.

If you do in fact have a PhD, then think back on your time spent constructing a thesis. Contrast that to the rubbish you post here.

Would you be able to defend anything you say against rigorous inquiry? Is it internally consistent? Is it well referenced? No. It is not, and no, you could not. What value did your PhD offer if you can't apply even the most basic principles of the methodology to your day to day? None.

Be better.

The way I see things. I may disagree with you/others on alot of things politically religiously or what color I should paint my shutters.
But we can all be friends and we all can learn from each other at the end of the day. Ivd learned some profound things and ways of looking at things differently from people i generally dont agree with on many topics but its not the topic thats important but why thats the way they see the world. Its too easy to dismiss people and live in a comfortable echo chamber. And i appreciate your and others differing perspectives.

I don't cite Google search as reference. I do provide sources that are real ... if needed (e.g. see the NBC news report cited above). I don't need to provide a source for Trump's suggestion to drink disinfectant or his claim that Tylenol causes autism. Most of us saw him blab that nonsense live. And his devaluing UN contributions to Afghanistan. I don't need to provide a link to what he said. It's everywhere on the net.

Sure, you don't like what I might say about your idol Trump. That's obvious. And you're welcome to run away and hide. But don't blame me for spreading misinformation unless you can provide evidence. You can't so you spew insulting generalized accusations and that somehow makes them real. Yeah, and I'm the one fabricating reality. Sure. Pffft. Grow up.

My guy. I am no fan of Trump. I encourage you to read my post history for the indisputable evidence of that.

You might not cite google search, but nor do you cite anything else. You seem perfectly willing to immediately jump on whatever is posted on the source that tells you what you want to hear, and do no due diligence. That's confirmation bias, writ large. Brent does the same thing. It's just as worthless if it's left leaning, as it is right leaning. It offers nothing.

If you're to make a post saying something that 'everybody knows to be true'... then it's only useful if it's in support of something that not everybody knows to be true (and that actually is true). You don't do that, which is why your content offers no value.

Most of the time, you don't even provide the source at all, so how can anyone assess the claim?

Overall, I didn't expect my call to be a valuable contributor being to have any impact on you, but it's nice to know that for sure. Good job.

I reiterate. Be better.

Ted Nugent has pledged $100,000 to help feed ICE agents in Minneapolis.
"They're having a hard time finding restaurants that welcome them, Nugent told Fox News, "So I'm having a metric ton of barbecue flown in from Montana."
Nugent says the gesture is the least he can do to help agents in unfriendly territory.

honest question:

how many contacts do you suppose ICE makes in a year? a million? two?

how many mistakes would constitute "a lot of "honest" mistakes?"

This is not a war where collateral damage is OK. This keeps up with the "honest" mistakes people will start sniping at ICE and then where will we be.

Has anyone ever noticed that when liberals perform at a press conference they always have someone doing sign language standing closer than anyone else pertinent to the performance.

Either there is a disproportionate number of deaf liberals. Or liberals have a harder time figuring out closed caption on their TV.

Imean one guy got his finger bit off.. thats pretty wild.
I'll believe it why see three independent phone videos showing someone getting a finger bit off. Otherwise it's just talk from an administration that is proven gold medal famous for talking untruth.

If you don’t like it please feel free to legally emigrate, establish citizenship and vote. Or you could run for office and attempt to legislate your disgusting left wing ideals.

So a photo is shown of the finger and you need three sources to believe it. And yet you believe Trump said to drink disinfectant, when he was talking about UV. I guess that you really like the taste of MSDNC & CBC kool-aid.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
