At least we agree on that. Blocking members doesn't show much maturity. And the shoe seems to fit ...
Welp, I guess it's my time to try and encourage people to act like adults again. Congrats, now you sit in the same boat as Brent. You must both be so proud.
So, responding to your statement. In principle, I agree.
However, worth remembering, that as far as I'm concerned, you and Brent provide exactly the same function, and are actually pretty similar as contributors, political leanings aside.
You are both going to spew incoherent, purely partisan nonsense on topics you know little about. Your content is not useful. I will not learn anything. I will not be able to believe anything you say without first fact checking. You will not provide sources. You will do nothing to establish the veracity of the crap you share. You will not provide any additional insight or experience on any issue at hand. You will not debate in good faith. You are not seeking to test or develop your position.
You provide about as much value as I'd get from an AI query on Google; "Summarize all the left (or in Brent's case, right) leaning headlines being shared on fringe sites on the internet". Beyond identifying the topics that the political fringes are butthurt about in any given moment, neither of you provide any value to the discussion.
My response to that, is to simply skim over your content, and every now and again, to encourage you both to do better. Deep down, I know that's a pointless exercise.
In that context, what would I lose by just cutting you out of the thread entirely? Nothing.
If you do in fact have a PhD, then think back on your time spent constructing a thesis. Contrast that to the rubbish you post here.
Would you be able to defend anything you say against rigorous inquiry? Is it internally consistent? Is it well referenced? No. It is not, and no, you could not. What value did your PhD offer if you can't apply even the most basic principles of the methodology to your day to day? None.
Be better.
