People are impatient. 2026 is the year when indictments/pleadings/trials should start. Bondi’s legacy will be determined this year IMHO.
I sincerely hope you’re right…

I like to think I’m a very patient man…

Many years ago, a very wise old guy that I have an immense amount of respect for told me “the guerrilla fights a patient war”… I’ve tried to live my life and build my career around that thought..

But.. I have to admit… Bondi seriously tries my patience…

I see. So trying to be king doesn't make Trump "kingly." Oh, and I forgot to mention his pet project Board of Peace ... created by him ... with him self-installed as leader for life. I'd say that's very kingly. THEN he threatened US tariffs if countries didn't join up. Just a tad tyrannical.

I'm looking at his club's membership. Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Morroco, Mongolia, etc. Some real powers on the world's political/economic stage. And just how does Albania, a country that is perennially broke, afford Trump's grandiose $1B membership fee? Or are they offering him something else in trade, like Putin who wants Trump to pay the club membership fee with frozen Russian assets in USA. Hmmm. And who will decide how those billions of dollars will be spent to rebuild Gaza? Why, King-for-Life Donald of course.
What makes you.think that Trump is trying to be king? Oh, I see, you are a believer in the great.liberal ally knowing press. It's even worse in Canada. While I am not a great fan of Trump, it seems completely obvious that he.plays the end game. Make statements make the opposition nervous, then negotiate to get what you want. That is not a.new tactic in business.

Even when he is speaking in obvious hyperbole you.miss the point. How is it possible for someone that claims to have a PhD be so naive or ignorant?

Well of those countries listed there isn't one that was a former Colonial ruler of Israel or Palestine, so you could make the argument they can act as neutral brokers. Albania and Macedonia are also in a region plagued with sectarian and religious tensions, so there's an opportunity for some perspective on applying any lessons learned (Kagame from Rwanda wouldn't be a bad addition in my opinion).

During the Vichy era and WWII Mohammed V protected the Jewish population from the worst of Nazi persecution in Morocco per his duties as "Commander of the faithful", so you could make the argument there is historical precedence in the King of Morocco (as impotent as the current one can be at times) being a part of this, owing to religious tradition. The hardcore Likudniks might try and gloss over this, but Israeli historians and especially older Sephardim take it seriously.

I'm not saying any of this was taken into account, but maybe it was? Maybe there are people trying to assess the problem from a different angle? Maybe there are people trying to throw anything they can to get the situation sorted out in a manner that doesn't just lead to another war in 3 years?

I must have missed it earlier in the thread.... what was your plan to try and broker and ensure peace between Israel and the Palestinians? Or to rebuild Gaza?
My plan would be turn peace brokering over to someone else, anyone else, who is smart enough to know he/she shouldn't drink disinfectant or knows Tylenol doesn't cause autism. Or someone with enough on the ball to avoid turning the world upside down over a supposedly strategically located island that he doesn't even know where it's located. I could go on. Do you really think this nobel Board of Peace idea would have a chance of even fixing a broken dog house with a blithering idiot like that at the helm ... for life? The guy has proven time and again he has zero qualities for anything, ESPECIALLY leadership. I am so sick of listening to people making excuses for Trump. The worst thing is he'll drag the rest of the party down the drain with him and we will be stuck with Democrat hegemony for at least several decades. If you guys can't see that coming, you've really got the blinders screwed on tight! Wake up and clean up your party before it's too late. I am not a liberal and I sure as hell do not believe democracy will work with a government of one party. This is a mess but it can, and I'm afraid will, get worse.

Well, your plan of "I don't want Trump involved in affairs relating to conflict around the globe" is going to be a difficult strategy considering he's the President for the next 3 years. Also, you realize it's not uncommon at all for US presidents to remain active on the world stage well after their presidency right? Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, W. Bush, Obama, just look it up, some more active than others.

Does it really shock you that Trump would try and remain a part of the peace process in Israel until his death? If you consider his daughter is married to a Jewish man and they are raising their kids Jewish, could there be a possibility that he feels he has skin in the game for stability in the region?

I'm not making excuses for Trump, I'm just trying to convey to you that while some of the approaches to this specific situation are a bit unorthodox, the sky isn't necessarily falling.

It has never been more clear that western civilization is headed rapidly toward oblivion and I am not sure there is any reversing our current trajectory.

I mean more generally in the sense that western society is not willing to face up to the problem.

Would you say it's The Death of the West ???

Don't believe the lies Saul!!! Pat loved you, loved America, cared deeply about our civilization, and would never take your guns!!!

My plan would be turn peace brokering over to someone else, anyone else, who is smart enough to … knows Tylenol doesn't cause autism.
This one bothers me. My wife was pregnant 11, 9, and 4 years ago, and in each case she was told not to take Tylenol during her pregnancy (among other things like eating raw meat or drinking alcohol) because of the risk of birth defects. So much so that the makers of Tylenol themselves don’t recommend it for use while pregnant. But, as soon as Trump says it, people like you reflexively oppose that advice only because it was Trump, or someone associated with him, that said it. How about we think critically for a change.

The US total goods trade with China exceeds US$550 billion/year. China is the US’s fourth largest trading partner. Canada’s total goods trade is less than US$100B, and Canada has a sustained trade deficit with China.

Since the TransMountain pipeline expansion opened up, Canada has steadily increased its sales of oil to China, and since the start-up of LNG Canada, LNG sales as well.

This not only reduces Canada’s trade deficit with China, it diversifies the country’s customers - which has resulted in a lower differential for Canada’s energy exports compared to when those exports flowed pretty much only to the US, and decreases the leverage one trading partner has over the country.

So what about trying to increase Canada’s trade with China is a bad idea?
That question is positioned to rhetorically elicit an answer we are supposed to recognize as a truth. But it’s not the right question to understand Canada’s current predicament. It’s important to reflect on why is trade with China part of an antagonistic stance to the USA? Ask also why is so much of Canada’s policy driven by anti-American impetus.

My point is that The Conservative government under Harper achieved real progress to strengthen “middle powers” without turning over major industries to our largest security threat. Harper made the north a priority, made energy sales a priority through pipeline planning and went about signing some 40+ free trade deals. He expressly excluded China from the oil sands because of its critical importance to our trade power. In doing so he preserved our strengths. Your question infers that the new trade relationship is similarly healthy and it won’t be. That’s because the Liberals intentionally undermined our economic clout. And, now ten years later, are patting themselves on the back for the Prime Ministers speech pointing out what everyone has already said decades ago. But his solutions will not create stability for us because they have none of the foresight of the last Conservative government.

Carter, Reagan, etc. were former presidents who may have continued to be active after leaving the presidency ... in minor consultative roles. They did not proclaim themselves leaders for life of ad hoc organizations supposedly meant to supplant NATO. And none of those ex-presidents were fools. They made mistakes but they didn't proclaim their blunders were purposy intended to soften up their political enemies. You're comparing apples to ... a lemon.

A study of two million subjects in Sweden found no connection between Tylenol and autism. Two million is a pretty big sample. I suppose your wife and unborn child would have been less at risk allowing her fever to get out of control?

Check it out. Tylenol when taken as directed is safe during pregnancy. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is a real source.

I guess I was unaware the purpose of this organization was to supplant NATO and reorganize the military structure of all 32 member nations into his own personal empire. I was under the impression that it was an attempt to either bypass the seemingly ineffective methods of the UN vis a vis Israel/Palestine, or embarrass them enough into becoming a more competent organization.

Reps at the UN basically vote against Israel at almost every opportunity, any honest observer can see that's a bit one sided. Perhaps this organization will present an opportunity for countries to exercise a bit more diplomatic flexibility while working toward a better resolution, one that could be presented to an "official international governing body" (whatever that is).

We could resolve many of these issues by forming the Anglophonian Federation, and making the colonization of Mars a civilizational imperative to form the permanent settlement of New Anglophonia.

It's a working theory.......

Rule Anglophonia,
Anglophonia Rules Deep Space....

The study you’re referring to is an observational study and not a random controlled trial and can make no definitive statement as to causality or lack there of. Admittedly, a true study with randomized control groups would present certain feasibility and ethical issues. The point of my post was not that there is or isn’t a causal link between Tylenol and autism, rather it was that there is enough correlation that in my experience no less than 3 different medial professions spanning a decade have independently advised against the use do Tylenol while pregnant, long before any politician had anything to say about it. And, the only reason anyone questions it now is because they don’t like who said it. Having seen many of your previous posts it weird to see you defending large pharmaceutical companies

So I wonder how this will go....Will the judge be worried if she puts him inside there will be similar wide scale protests/rioting and looting etc, that happened with the Zuma shit....so will she give him a fine and suspended sentence, letting him go around crowing how great he is .......

At times I too get frustrated with the slow pace of Bondi and Patel, and have to remind myself how many state snd local politicians, prosecutors and various and numerous judges have severe TDS. Again, by any definition, the only “Kings” I know of in the US wear black robes. Why do you think George Soros has pumped so much money into the political campaigns of so many smaller market DAs across the US over the years. ;)
It would be like a million Hunters from Ontario fighting you every step of the way thinking they're resisting the King!

Wait it doesnt cause autism??? I just took a whole bottle hoping to get some finance bro super powers.

But your mistaken about democracy. We have 1 ruling class divided into 2 parties to give the people the illusion of freedom and a choice. When reality is theybonly gst to choose off a curated menue.

I had to laugh when Gutfeld on Fox made a funny remark about how Trump said that if not for the USA that Europeans would all be speaking German and Japanese. Gutfeld said, “Which really pissed off the French once they had it translated into Arabic.” :E Big Grin:

I concur… sort of…

Based on her performance in FL, I have zero doubt in her competence…

But… the DOJ is indeed a mess…

Granted, she inherited a giant mess there…

But… it’s been a year.. and I’ve seen limited clean up…

And… she also appears to have a pretty bad habit of making very clear public statements about things that are going to happen, that never seem to happen…

I want to like her… but I’m having a pretty hard time doing it right now..
That is why I think she has potential, her track record in Florida.

I think that the current Whitehouse atmosphere makes it hard for her to do things the way she wants to, just like I think Rubio would be handling things very different if he had more leash.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
