. . . The only “Kings” I see scattered around the US wear black robes.
I happen to like to wearing a black robe. My wife will tell you that I am not King.

Let's see ... Trump expresses his desire to run for a third term (unconstitutional but so what?) ... and contemplates suspending midterms (also unconstitutional) ... then says he should have called out the Guards to seize voting machines in 2020 (questionable if unconstitutional but unquestionably nuts). Seems kinda "kingly" behavior to me. Many are concerned calling up the Guards for ICE support in places where support was clearly not needed was just a leadup for using them to control midterms. Maybe far fetched ... but no crazier than this Greenland nonsense.
Desires... contemplates.... should have...

So none of those things actually occurred? What a shitty tyrant.

Your TDS is showing

So you're saying that immigrants are not Canadian???....... you're racist, far right ideology finally shows!

This argument was solved long ago by natural selection.......

Ontario hunter moved to Canada
WAB moved to the USA

Dear Canada ...... ALL TRADES ARE FINAL!
you definitely owe us some draft picks from that trade….

I see. So trying to be king doesn't make Trump "kingly." Oh, and I forgot to mention his pet project Board of Peace ... created by him ... with him self-installed as leader for life. I'd say that's very kingly. THEN he threatened US tariffs if countries didn't join up. Just a tad tyrannical.

I'm looking at his club's membership. Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Morroco, Mongolia, etc. Some real powers on the world's political/economic stage. And just how does Albania, a country that is perennially broke, afford Trump's grandiose $1B membership fee? Or are they offering him something else in trade, like Putin who wants Trump to pay the club membership fee with frozen Russian assets in USA. Hmmm. And who will decide how those billions of dollars will be spent to rebuild Gaza? Why, King-for-Life Donald of course.

It's not, she is actually quite competent, but you can't fire Trump so you need to ask for somebody's head. The DOJ is a mess.

DOJ is a massive mess! The vast majority of their attorneys come from very liberal law programs.

Dhillon has done a great job with the civil division firing or getting resignations on over half the attorneys. She is also on top of potential problems immediately like the Minneapolis church Sunday already has perp walks.

Criminal division is much tougher to deal with. Bondi probably doesn’t know the problems she has with many until she feels the pushback. ie: EDVA and Minnesota where the attorneys have actively opposed her and her policies. Much of the problem is the Senate not getting confirmations on many of her AUSA’s to run the office.

Criminal prosecutions take a lot of time to develop the case, especially like the cases developing in Ft Pierce/Crossfire Hurricane.

The Solicitor Generals office has done an amazing job while being completely swamped with all the law suits they have had to deal with. Their record so far has been pretty amazing.

People are impatient. 2026 is the year when indictments/pleadings/trials should start. Bondi’s legacy will be determined this year IMHO.

The Board of Peace is the start of Trump slowly trying to make the omnipotent UN irrelevant.

The countries that put up the 1B are the ones that decide how to use the money. Not the people at 1st Avenue and E 42nd Street. The days of 150 third world countries voting for 30 first world countries to hand over billions which flow into graft is what Trump is aiming to end.

It's quite apparent, especially after this week, Trump has the diplomatic skills of an amoeba. Only surpassed by his knowledge of world geography. "Russia and China are trying to take Greenland!" [Really? And you have proof of this how?] "Russia is not going to be our neighbor. Not happening!" Umm ... last time I looked at a map Greenland is not the US's neighbor. It's Canada's neighbor. Also, Russia has been a US neighbor since the Civil War. And a very close neighbor! As I recall less than a mile separates the two countries in the Bering Straight. I'd have to look again to be sure but I think China is closer to Alaska than Maine is to Greenland.

And where in the world is "Gamibia"? :D :D

I have no doubt Trump doesn't have a clue where most, if not all, the countries are located who have signed onto his peace club. Someone should quiz him at a press conference. That would be funny. "Where is Morroco, Mr President." It would not surprise me if he answers a planet the other side of Mars.

And you know for certain King Trump's Board of Peace will deal with third world countries differently than the UN? If you do, you're the only one. That's what kept major players out of the game. No one knows how it will be played. Apparently not even Trump. Details are too sketchy. As usual Trump is flying by the seat of his pants. Should my country give him a billion dollars to fly with? Carney has been hesitant, thankfully. After this week's barrage of pouty insults, I think the Board of Peace can kiss off Canada for good. Did I say Trump has the diplomatic skills of an amoeba? Perhaps I'm too generous.

Well I don’t know about liberal law institutions but that is likely not the reason that the DOJ is in the dumper.

Since Trump has replaced a ton of prosecuters with inexperienced loyalists, the rate of getting grand jury indictments has fallen to record lows and the number of cases getting tossed for procedural irregularities is through the roof.

Add to that little respect for the constitution and an inability of the political hacks to stop themselves from making statements that prejudice their own cases and you have a recipe for disaster.

They probably cannot successfully prosecute Comey or James now, and the way they are going they will lucky to get Bolton or Maduro. At least Bolton looks like a lay up.

Even Trumps own appointees are excoriating his appointments, prosecutions and theories. It’s an embarrassment and it is hamstring a crucial arm of government.

Harvard has apx 100 law professors at any one time. Goldsmith is the only conservative teaching there now. Yale has no conservative law professors. This is pretty much the same throughout the Ivy League law schools and institutions like Georgetown, Stanford, Northwestern and similar schools that the DOJ historically hires from. UVA and UChicago are generally considered the most conservative top 20 law schools and only have around 20% of their students considered conservative. A liberal ideology is certainly prevalent within the DOJ.

I will agree that Bondi and others in her office are way to publicity hungry when it comes to prosecutions. Especially on the criminal side.

Since most Nato members seems so eager to try to keep Trump happy and the illusion of the strenght of the transatlantic link alive I think that it would have been much easier to just ask them to strenghten the defense of Greenland instead of creating all this mess.

I think that this is more of him backing down due to how it affected the markets rather then reaching a goal he could have reached without damaging relations in this way.
When Saudi's, the contemporary enemies of Iran, threaten to take Yuan as oil currency, and move allegiance toward Katar vs UAE, then things become convoluted. They should support the US as their protectors. Instead we see that they have less allegiance to US than to fellow Muslims of a different stripe. They shift to hedge their bet. To protect the Dollar reserve currency status, we back now off?
Israel offering a pipeline to take oil out of Arabia will be their protection, profit, and genius move. What will be ours?

Phillip I was reviewing some of the auctions online and saw your Nubian Ibex hunt coming up this weekend. It also showed you have Addax and Axis deer. Is there a website I can go to and see the lodge, cost of animals and what is available? Thanks Mark
