Anyone else concerned about the hypocrisy of trump ordering missile strikes on drug traffickers in international waters, while simultaneously pardoning drug traffickers who are currently in prison, and pardoning a guy convicted of taking millions of dollars in bribe money from foreign countries such as Azerbaijan?

This second article, the guy was convicted guilty of helping bring 400 tons of drugs into the US, with more than that being likely. He got his prison sentence and was set completely free… what the hell trump? What possible excuse would you have for pardoning a man taking millions in bribe money from middle eastern countries to vote on anti US policy, or to give a full pardon to one of the kings of drug trafficking?

My only guess is its a quid pro qou type deal he expects something back. If not that , crazy.

Rifleman, I would be. If I thought the only benefit of the strikes was killing Tren De Aregua gang members. And only because a $50-$100k weapon is too expensive for a large Boston Whaler.

The primary reason we have such a large naval presence in the Caribbean is to show China that part of the ocean is our backyard, and to pressure China to get out of the Caribbean. The side benefit is sending Tren De Aregua to the bottom of the ocean, but that’s not the primary reason we are there.

Right, I don’t give a shit about the drug traffickers, but I find it dumb we’re spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on single use missiles for a handful of people, whilst pardoning much bigger drug traffickers, and pardoning people who accepted millions of dollars in pure bribery from countries who do not want the US to succeed. I wouldn’t care if it was a democrat, OR a Republican. If your interests are against America to the point you’ll accept money from a middle eastern country; you deserve jail. I’m not a judge so I won’t say how long I think they should serve, but they should be jailed for an appropriate amount of time, and remain an ex convict after. Not a presidential pardon of any wrongdoing. Makes me wonder if the trafficker trump released was from a gang that’s secretly giving trump money, and the ones he’s striking are a gang that’s not. I hope I’m wrong but honestly I’m not sure the alternatives look any better.

It uses all data that’s out there, they don’t pick and choose. That’s why Elon kept having issues with Grok becoming, in his words, a “woke liberal”

The problem is if there’s conflicting data, it takes whatever is said more, and there’s more major liberal news outlets than conservative ones. That and the fact that AI doesn’t “know” anything, it just predicts words based on the previous words. It doesn’t have politics, it just says what is most often said, or most recently said.

Yes, that’s exactly the problem with it. People need to be aware of or made aware of how it works. I’m afraid that will not be the case, however. It is a very powerful tool, not to be confused with thinking intelligence. Sadly many are blissfully clueless about the difference.

Kennedy by Congress in 1964 to honor his commitment to the arts and culture. I am fairly confident that the courts will eventually decide that the Trump's board of sycophants do not have the authority to change it. I am absolutely certain even a republican majority congress would not change it legislatively.
