It was recently revealed, that AOC spent big money on a lavish trip to Puerto Rico. Luxury hotel, vip services, Bad Bunny concert, etc.
I'm sure she just went to check on how Abuela is getting along.

I’d argue that an act of war is any form of aggression that harms your country in any way, if your politicians see fit to do something about it..

How many lives or how much money does Russia have to cost the UK before the threshold is crossed? How much political unrest or upheaval?

The truth however is all developed countries are doing the same thing ga to each other as a matter of routine..

We love to bitch about state sponsored cyber attacks by Russia and China and NorK for example… but if you don’t think cyber ninjas from the US, UK, France, etc aren’t pounding Russian and Chinese military, banking, and critical infrastructure systems as this message gets typed, we’re fooling ourselves …
Your definition would be much broader than the American legal system would accept. The U.S. Code defines an Act of War and it needs to involve events during a declared war or armed conflict between nations or military conflict.

Cyber warfare could be a casus belli, but not an act of war in any modern sense, unless the war was already underway.

On the other hand casus belli, is very much in the eye of the beholder.

Agree @Tundra Tiger , one thing that gets me is how long will the Russian populace endure wholesale slaughter of their youth?
It’s obvious that Putin doesn’t give a rats ass about his citizens or whatever the rest of the world thinks. Personally I think this war will only end from inside Russia, the outside world is too spineless to do anything meaningful about it.
That dude is a master of crushing all types of internal resistance and terrorizing a populace.

They missed their chance to unseat him when the Wagner Group coup got derailed.

I am afraid he is likely at the controls until he dies.

You forget that
  • No Formal Declaration Needed: The U.S. has engaged in many conflicts without formal congressional declarations of war, relying on authorizations or inherent presidential powers, highlighting that "acts of war" occur outside formal declarations.

and that the more generalized and accepted definition outside of legal code of an act of war is:

an act of war involves significant hostile military action or state-sponsored aggression, extending beyond formal declarations to include various forms of conflict, particularly for insurance and counter-terrorism purposes.

You are quite right that no declaration is needed. IIRC there has not been a formal declaration in the world since 1945 or so. Many feel it is almost a dead concept.

However, act of war, requires armed conflict if there is no declaration and nobody considers peacetime espionage, including what is generally referred to as cyberwar, armed conflict.

First, this can hardly be a surprise. He wants it his way or no way at all.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Wednesday that Moscow will seek to extend its gains in Ukraine if Kyiv and its Western allies reject the Kremlin’s demands in peace talks."

Second, if what some on here have shared, the chances Russia actually extends those gains aren't all that great, and would be virtually non-existent if Ukraine were properly assisted.

For the love of all, quit pretending Putin has any desire whatsoever to have peace, and figure out a path forward based on that reality. Trump's treatment of this issue reminds me of a modern day woke parent refusing to do anything that actually looks like parenting.
Whats fascinating is that Putin persist with making it sound like Russia has been holding back so far...when in reality they are allready are throwing every conventional weaponry they have against Ukraine.

Perhaps its because his minions are to afraid to tell him that they are allready doing everything in their power and still fails.

I hold zero hope there will ever be anything different from him. The highly frustrating part for me is that he keeps being given chances to change. It's not happening. Let's move forward understanding that's reality. I know this can't happen, at least in this fashion, but I would love for world leaders to tell him "You're full of shit. We're not going to listen to it anymore."

Hope it posts this time. Took a screen shot.

He is very much afraid of what the true Russian population representing the old Dutchy of Moscow (think St. Petersburg and Moscow). It is why he doesn't dare declare general mobilization.

Thus far, except for a devalued currency, high interest rates, and high prices, the true Russian population has been largely spared the effects of the war. The manpower and casualties are coming primarily from the subject ethnic minorities that populate the Russian Republic's hinterlands - most in serious poverty. But, that resource is drying up, hence Putin going begging to North Korea, emptying his prisons, and hiring foreigners.

If the people who grow your food show up in mass and start throwing rotten potatoes and horseshit at you; chances are they have a legitimate grievance.

I have to give credit to the Belgian farmers, they had enough man and horsepower on scene to cause some serious damage but seemed to show restraint.

Tucson mayor, Ultra libtard, lying P.O.S ,walking pile of human excrement, Regina Romero's son was arrested for DUI.
12 days later, the case was dismissed.
Pima county's crime loving attorney is no doubt involved in that.
