Anybody have any info on when the African Large Game Cartridges and African Small Game Cartridges books by Pierre van der Walt might be available for purchase? I e-mailed Mr. Van der Walt last year and never recieved a response. The e-mail address I had did not bounce back.

I think the Medium Game and Dangerous Game books are extreamly well done and would love to add those other two books to the collection.

The first two are difficult to find. Perhaps he will extend the time to order the last book if enough people are interested.

I always try abebooks first.

I refer to African Dangerous Game Cartridges often.

If a hard cover copy isn't available, Amazon offers it for a Kindle for free!
Granted, it is not like having the book in one's library but it is free.

Otherwise, there seven used copies available starting at $180;

Agreed. I have the kindle version, and read the whole thing.

I really should splurge and get a hardback copy.

This is where I bought mine, BTW the best price I've ever seen for it. Google Shakari Connection then on their site go to the Bookstore / Bookshelf then look for Pierre Van Derwalt Books

Mr. Pierre van der Walt’s book, “African Dangerous Game Cartridges “ is the best book I have on the subject. Worth every penny.

Get in if you can.

Hello Mr. van der Walt,
While I'm not trying to be a pest here, I sent two e-mails to the address in the advert and have not had a response back. I can see the order closing date was 9/30/23, but I made my post on 10/19/23 and you responded on that date...so was assuming that there was still time to get an order with you. I was requesting two copies of this book and want to make sure I get on the print list. How do I pay for them and or where do I need to send the payment to?

Hi Mission Africa,

I purely placed a screenshot from Pierre van der Walt’s Facebook page on here and suggested that perhaps they will still take orders. This was done in order to possibly help members here.

I am in no way affiliated with Pierre, nor am I family, even though my surname is also van der Walt. I am sorry that there was no reply to your emails, and can only assume that they no longer take orders to print the book in mention.

Kind regards,

Dewald van der Walt

There are 150x books going on sale at Wildman Pretoria. Perhaps contact them, and be willing to pay the 40 odd dollars to get it to you via DHL, and you still have a chance.

Google Wildman Pretoria for their contact info

My typo. 50x books

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
