Finally got the time to build the pedestal for my sable. Used walnut, mahogany, and birdeye zebrawood veneer.

very nice I like how it all came out.

Very impressive Dave. You made that yourself? Damn wish I lived near you. Good work sir!

Nice, thanks for sharing with us!

@CAustin Yes I built it. I was lucky enough to have a great wood shop teacher's in junior and high school, have been building furniture since I was a youngster. The cool thing about building custom I can make it fit the house and not the other way around. If you are out AZ way please feel free to drop by.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
