Jim, my number one choice for your 375 Weatherby would be the North Fork 350 Semi Spitzer. The NF SS is sort of a hybrid between a A-Frame with its bonded front lead core, and a TSX with a monolithic shank/rear portion. At least that's my take on it. A-Frames are great bullets, but the rear core is not bonded and have been known to shed in extreme cases. If you look at the recovered A-Frame I pictured in the earlier post you can see the rear core has slipped forward in the jacket. It is still retained mechanically, but it is not bonded in place. This bullet is fairly mangled, weighs at 254 grains retained of its original 300, or about 84% weight retention. This is from a 375 H&H and impact velocity around 2400 FPS. This bullet entered through a rib and broke the offside shoulder. The velocity when this bullet hit heavy bone of offside shoulder would have been reduced even further after traveling through 2.5 feet of buffalo. Imagine hitting the heavy bone of a nearside shoulder at 2700 or 2800 fps, I believe the potential for bullet failure would be significant even with the excellent A-Frame. I actually think if using the TSX I would stick with 300 grain.
