on a lighter note...

This is very much the story of my life!

Last summer i hit a pot hole on my motorcycle... At 150mph! If i had had a charcoal bricket between my cheeks, the diamond would have paid for another hunt :E Rofl: .

Im too old to die young, but im hoping what ever finally kills me is interesting.

The Christmas tree doesnt go up until after Thanksgiving weekend.

I'm too old and set in my ways. I enjoy and respect all the holidays:

New Year's Eve: drinks, dancing, and making out with women I most likely won't see again.

Valentine's Day: Not a Holiday.

St. Patrick's Day: I'm not Irish. But, I'll still celebrate with a few complimentary drinks and cheers.

Memorial Day: I'm a soldier. Once a soldier always a soldier (Sailor, Airman, Marine). A day to give thanks, to remember, and to give gratitude to all who of those that gave all in protecting our nation.

Fourth of July: Celebrating our nation's independence.

Labor Day: Celebrating the official opening of hunting seasons. Sadly, it no longer stands for the celebrating of the once abundant great American workforce that built this great nation.

Columbus Day: Ironically toasting a sailor who got lost at sea, bumps into various land masses, that were discovered centuries before by other sailors from other countries, claims the continent for a country/ ruler he had to basically beg to finance his voyage.

Halloween: Celebration of fall, the bounty of harvested crops, scary movies, meeting up with women and because they and I are masked we most likely won't recognize each other in the future. Mainly the bounty of sweets, hopefully, to last for several days.

Veteran's Day: the remembrance and toasting of all those who: gave all, gave some, served, and serving in the military protecting the freedoms all Americans have today. Freedom isn't free; Freedom is paid in blood by all those who
stand ready to defend our nation and our beliefs.

Thanksgiving: food, drinks, football, more food, more drinks, more football, a nap, more food, more food, more drinks, more food, more food, more football, a nap, visiting with friends, and okay, maybe the joy of gathering with family.

Christmas: celebration and goving thanks for the birth of Christ, all the decorations, music, drinks and food, football, visiting with friends, and okay, maybe another holiday visiting with family.

Oh for the days of old when all holidays were special.

Not to be picky, but we add Easter to the list, and we celebrate with lamb. Additionally we celebrate the festival of Lights with our Jewish friends.

Oops...I knew I was missing at least one of the main holidays. Thanks for catching that.

Presidents Day, Juneteenth, Martin Luther King Day, and probably a couple more insignificant meaningless holidays were intentionally left out.

Ash Wednesday - Lent, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah, were omitted due to their respective length of the religious period and significant purpose. With all do respects to the religious significance and to those who observe these "traditions" /"celebrations"/ "holidays"; the American work force isn't given time off from work nor paid holiday pay in the same manner as the holidays in my previous above thread.

Was thinking the other day, "I don't have to worry about correolis effects if I am a Flat Earther..."

Ooh ooh wait...correolis effects?....flat earth?...:unsure::unsure:....rainbows are arched.....wouldn’t the sun's rays be reflected at a known angle at a certain given time on the flat earth create striaght line prisms that would be bent "dancing" by variants of wind speeds and directions at different altitudes?

:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:.....
Much like a flashlight hitting a mirror at just the right angle?.

LMFAO.....
