on a lighter note...

Years ago when I was working for a local telco company I was fixing a cut cable with another tech. We were closing up the splice using very long and stout cable ties. They were 3/8" wide and very stiff. A kid was hanging around and asked what they were, the other tech said that they were a belt, well the kid said that he wanted one for a belt. So the other tech laced that cable tie through the belt hoops on that kids pants and locked it in.

I can just imagine what that kids mom through or went through trying to get that cable tie off or cut, especially if that kid was really in need of getting it off.

Nice Apocalypse Now reference!

Personal experience.

For members with daughter(s) can relate these experiences.

Nope, no way, I won't be sharing any photos of summer weekend pool parties, weekend sport parties, weekend cookouts, etc.,.....with this bunch.:A Shades:

At the time of our meeting my hunting buddy's daughter, nieces, and thier many girlfriends were just starting college and until his daughter's graduation during the school year my buddy's home was a sorority house, never knowing what to expect. In summer months it was pool parties, cookouts, and bonfires. Only when all the gals went on excursions was the house allowed to be a temporary "man cave"......meaning he only had this much time to get any necessary projects done in the basement or to other parts around the house.

......Nor the vacuum cleaner, pots and pans set, more Tupperware storage bowls, gym membership (ok, I thought a spa and gym were the same thing), a Florida beach vacation (OOPS....note to self: check the November weather and seasonal hurricane forecast before taking a Florida beach vacation).

In my defense:...she said, she wish-would like to have these things.
