on a lighter note...

"Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom with your .35 WHELEN and buy a .338 WINCHESTER MAGNUM which propels you to the stars". LOL
Is that kinda like 338 Win Mag Shooters have to aim for the moon, so when they miss their bullets are still among the stars?

@CoElkHunter
Once you own a Whelen you have reached your Pinacle mate. Never to return to inferiority of owning another cartridge UNLESS you are pairing it with a fast 25.
338 owners can only dream of attaining the heights of Whelen ownership and settle for second best. But yeh even they have dreams of attaining greatness but alas there are only so many Whelens to go around.
Whelen ownership means you have successfully clawed your way to the top by using many an inferior cartridge before attaining greatness and pride of Whelen ownership, never to return to that feeling of inferiority.
One day you may gain thy greatness my son. You are partially they by virtue of owning a 25-06 ( a fast 25). Now you need to take the next step and divest yourself of that prissy little 338 wimpchester magnun and get a mighty Whelen so you can be welcomed into the fold of greatness.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
