Well, another auction and 3 more rifles. First is a Remington Model 720 in .270 Win. From my research, it appears only about 2500 of this model were ever made, most of which are in .30-06. Apparently the production was halted/abandoned during WWII. This one appears to be circa 1942.

Next is a Browning B78 in 7mm Rem Mag. Looks like it should be a fun little single shot. Not the Ruger #1 I've been wanting, but hey what are you going to do.

Finally, what appears to be a custom gun built on what I think is a Belgian FN Mauser action, chambered to 35 Whelen. I'm no Mauser expert, just searched for proof marks and that's what I came up with. Anybody that can give me any other facts, I'm all ears. I really like the stock.

That Rem 720 is a stunner of a rifle and with a rebore rid the world of another 270, it would be a lifetime keeper.
(kidding about the 270, sort of, maybe) ;);)

Thanks @Von Gruff it is a great little rifle - I'm itching to get home and start getting it cleaned up a little. The gentleman who owned it had it for quite a while, but hadn't shot it much recently from the looks of it. I'm hoping a good cleaning will get everything right as rain.

Come on you Mauser lovers, chime in on the 35 Whelen! Or 35 Whelen owners chime in! I've heard a little about that caliber, but this is the first one I've laid my hands on, much less owned.

Well, I see the:

Le Perron, rifled arms, and Nitro proof, proofs.

I'm not expert, but are there any other visible proofs on the action?

That is indeed a beautiful stock!

The only other markings I can see are on the bolt. See below

Great - a bleeding Kiwi trashing the .270 - one of the good Lord's favorite calibers. Probably owns a brace of .303's (y) :S Flag:

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
