there is no concern regarding irons and scopes if the kit is Tim’s.
He just finished a qkit on Douglas barrel on a Parkwest std. action for a 30-06.
The height of the kit is designed to give 150/1000”visible goldline above the scope bases and helps align the irons with the scope boreline, which is maybe 1.00” iron boreline and 1.7” scope with med. rings.
Took the 1” number from master gunsmith Duane Wiebe.
