Don’t see the 9.3x62 on their website?

Probably they have not listed yet. It's a pretty new project. Reach out to Rivers & Glen Trading Co.

I don’t particularly love the Sauer 100/Maiser ‘18 action, but this version looks really nice.

lets hope the changed the feed ramp so you can shoot blunt nosed bullets like the 255 grain Raptor in my Sauer the tip hits and will not feed. Checked with the Blazer guys in Texas about modifying the front of the ramp and they said "NO IT MAY NEVER FEED BULLET AGAIN". it appears it is designed to shoot to shoot pointed or semi pointed bullets. other than that I love the gun.

I happened to stop by Rivers and Glen in Charleston SC this past week and got my hands on it. The rifle feels and looks great. A lot of features in the current market for the money. If your looking for a 9.3/ all around rifle and you don’t feel the uncontrollable need for CRF this is the rifle for you.

That’s a smart looking production rifle!

I thought it was illegal to make a 9.3x62 without controlled round feed unless it was a double?

I ordered one too.
Rivers and Glen and Field Ethos will be at the DSC Carolina’s Foundation big bore shoot on October, 18 with a demo rifle if you’d like to shoot it.
There will also be a demo Sauer 505, Blaser R8 and Rigby Highland Stalker.

Cheers,
Doug

The one thing that really turns me off on this rifle as illustrated, is the incredibly high scope mounts.

I do not know who designed these bases (I have also seen them on a Rigby Highland Stalker), but they for sure do not seem to have much practical experience or even practical sense.

This rifle would look so much better with simple, low profile, bases and rings such as Talleys.

Luckily, it is easy to fix :)

Try changing the seating depth on dummy rounds and see if you can get the Raptors to work. Then you may need to change powder for reduced case capacity? Should be a workaround.

I found a review on line that says these use regular Rem 700 bases so it would be an easy fix. I agree, those very high mounts and very flat stock comb = finding the crosshairs would be a hunt in itself. Not what I would want, especially in a semi-dangerous game rifle.

Doubles are controlled round feed too!:ROFLMAO:

I really detest high scope mounts which is probably why I haven’t invest in Cale mounts for my MS 1905 or either of my model 98 sporters.

I did not find it too high when I pointed-faced this specific setup. This mounts are the original Sauer-Mauser quick-detach mounts. I believe they are a bit higher than usual is due to the iron sights in the rifle so they don't interfere while aiming. I did like it and it was easy to gather scope reticle the way it was. Nevertheless, you can mount a scope directly to the action with Talleys as you mentioned but the iron sights might get in the way.

Any update on the arrival of your rifle?

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
