Does anyone have any experience with taxidermists in Namibia? After reading the thread in another section regarding costs of shipping, I wanted to explore another option. Thanks in advance.

Honestly bring them home if your thinking of having them mounted there. But to answer your question I used Kings taxidermy for dip pack. Work done well and quickly.

I had excellent work done by Ingwe

Christiaan and Silke are great to deal with, very good with communication, and were quick with the work, with outstanding finished product

they will definately get my next lot of work too

My two previous trip trophies were handled by African Shipping Services and the dip and pack was done by Tau Taxidermy. No complaints on my end about any of the service but thanks for the input. I was purely motivated by holding up the reputation my family has of my "frugality."

I had my two hunts in Namibia done by Hunters Pride. For basic shoulder and skull mounts they did good work with no complaints. communications were quick and courteous. The mounts are a few years old now and they're holding up well. If getting rugs go with Nakara tannery out of Windhoek, very reasonable service. I will say if Retoma still exists in Outjo, avoid them. We stopped by in 2013 and there work was not good.

Thanks again. I have asked the PH for input as well. June seems right around the corner now.

I can reccommend Ingwe Taxidermy.

Please avoid Trophaendienste Taxidermy in Windhoek at all costs. They destroyed all the trophies from our first safari through non existent quality control.

Thanks for the recommendations folks

Blacks- I’ve ten animals coming from Trophaendienste right now that I shot July 2019. There was a thread on AH they had a management change lately. What was your recourse for damage? Anyone have similar experience with them lately. Thx Hutch

+1 for Kings.
They were easy to work with, responsive and the end product was good. I’m a happy customer.
I will have Kings do the taxidermy for my upcoming hunt in June.

Wow that was a long thread! Thanks for sharing...

I just checked their website it is definitely the same one my taxidermist uses. Markus from down under taxidermy in Australia organized our hunt with Osambahe Nord safaris and had all our trophies shipped there. After our hunt we ent to Etosha national park and Markus organized with Christiaan to store my personal rifles while we were away.
Service of that standard is truly impressive and hard to come by.
I am looking forward to getting my trophies later this year.
Cheers mate
Bob

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
