Major Khan

Anyone know what happened to @Major Khan? He hasn’t been active here in awhile. I enjoyed his posts. He has definitely lived a very exciting/interesting life.
@KTEX
Our beloved Major Khan stepped back from the forum for personal reasons that I can not go into. This is a pity as him and his fellow countryman gave such a beautiful insight into hunting in India in days gone by.
Set Kawshik Raman stopped because of a troll that belitted him for no reason. Panther shooter also stopped because of trolls.
This is a shame because they were 3 very humble and knowledgeable men with a life time of experience in a country that has long ago stopped hunting. Their stories tho gory at times told of experiences and cultural practices of a bygone era that will never be repeated.
I just hope the good Major wrote the book he was omaning on writing

I reached out to Major Khan through a private message a while back, and didn't hear back from him. Before reading this, I thought that maybe COVID was to blame, but I guess I was wrong. I echo what everyone above have said, and hopefully they'll be back.
@PARA45
The last time I spoke to a friend of the good major's about 12 or 14 months ago him and the good Sargent are enjoying a few shikarees on the Sgts family tea plantation. The last time i spoke to this person they were to meet up for a hunt that weekend. Panther shooter was doing well at the time as well. The gentleman I spoke to was gifted a fine firearm by the Major. The Major actually introduced this man to hunting if my memory severs me correctly.
Bob.

All wannebes....

I stopped reading this crap when I commented in the "rogue bull elephant" that was suposedly shot.....you can clearly see mahouts sitting on elephants and that they are in an enclosure.....

Google and keyboard jockeys abound....

The Bangladeshi guys is some very good and experienced outdoors an hunters with a lot of history behind them and good oppertunities that rivals many.

Sad that ara thugges ,jealous people elsewhere just cant let the jewel of fhe east be for them self and work for the future.

Honestly when i heard about oppertunities in the parts that fills so many books of adventure i was just thinking " why havent i heard about this before. This would put the fever of interest divided to other continents also" .

They are gentlemen of the highest order. Truly a shame that they had to pull back because of the simple narrow minded individuals that seem to haunt to much of life these days. They are missed!

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
