Krieghoff Classic

Congrats with a nice rifle!

Thats correct, I spoke with Krieghoff salesmanager this morning, and I can get a barrel in a heavier caliber for 5700 euro, They have the rifle for 3 months, and I get a new barrel and new forarmwood.
I think I do so, then I have 2 barrels for the double..

Don't forget to order the 20g 3" shotgun barrels!!!

.....and don't tell your wife, what you are doing...

As the cost of the new barrel, costs more then what you paid for the gun, I am will to buy that one from you for what you paid for it, I will even pay for the transfer. That way you can get the larger gun and flanged and not be burdened with the H&H Mag.
You are so nice.
I have a few friends just like you.

Congrats on a beautiful rifle.
+1 on the 20ga barrel set.

Good buy. I just went out and shot my K gun in .470NE today.

Also found out wich ammo this rifle was sighted in with.
Norma 300 grs TXP.
It`s the 300 grs A-Frame, and Vo are 2550 fps.
Normally it should be easy to find the right ammo and load for this one.

...and here comes the barrel you still miss!!!

K guns DO shoot well. I was again happy today testing a new lot of Hornady DGS. I got 1.75" groups at 50 yards...

Mine shows another benefit: it shoots just as tight a number of factory loads (Hornady, Federal, Nosler), all hovering within the black, as long as the shapes of the bullets are reasonably the same...

Keep in mind too that it could make a LOT of sense to get a set of 20 gauge barrels. Lots of good bird hunting in Africa, and, more importantly, you can get a whole lot of cheap practice, shooting practical drills with inexpensive 20 gauge slugs. The balance will be different, for sure, but the stock is still the same, and by the time you have a couple hundreds 20 gauge slugs through it, the gun will get to your shoulder and fire without you even thinking about it, and you will 'hit anything you point the gun at' (well, almost...). You can also use it to shoot trap or skeet to further develop instinctive aim. It might pay big dividends the day you need to shoot fast on something big and unpleasant coming your way with less than friendly intentions...

Of course, REAL MEN will shoot skeet with solids from their double, just to hone their shooting skills. Nah, just kidding LOL

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
