Great animal, great hunt, and one of my favorites!
Question: Why do us guys feel the need to assume girls need help loading, or setting up their rifles? Is it a primal instinct to take care of the ladies or a chauvinistic view that they can't do it for themselves?
Also, (NOT BEING CRITICAL) That shot was at the front of the throat, little up, down or left and it's a clean miss. Doubt that's where she was aiming, seemed like quite a bit of movement in the weapon (Bipods tend to do that).
It was little high from the angle she was shooting and not in high in throat just above shoulder in base of neck, She is more than capable setting up the ph’s help that is what they do. Glad to have him helping her it is tough hunting in the mountains trying to move and not make noise, he did a great job with her. Those guys walk in those mountains like mountain goats.
That is one fortunate kid to have hunted Africa as much as she has...she likely has more experience over there than at least half of us on here! Congratulations to both of you...love seeing these reports!
