IUCN Paper Released On Trophy Hunting

Certainly this is one of the most compelling studies on the issue to date. I believe it was the IUCN submission on the proposed trophy ban the Netherlands wanted the EU to adopt. Glad to see it is now starting to make the rounds.

Likely the most powerful ammunition against the antis that we have!

Thanks for sharing Robert. This is exactly what we hunters have been saying for years. Unfortunately we're not the ones that need to be convinced, it's the governments around the world especially ours! Emotion has NO place in decision making when it comes to hunting and conservation. This report I fear will have absolutely no impact to the USFW service on decision making. Emotion and political correctness have taken strong root in many countries. Biologists, game management experts and the likes carry zero weight in many countries. It's a sad time for hunters and wildlife alike.

Great article! Thanks for sharing!

We need someone like ole teddy Roosevelt to help educate the populationon how conservation really works!

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….
