Is my trophy big enough?

Don't let others opinions stop you from entering a great animal in the record books, that is your decision. I entered my kudu that's in my avatar in SCI and in no way did it diminish the memories or experience. My long passed relatives have two public land bull elk listed in B&C that were over the counter licences and I look them up occasionally and am glad they listed them for us future generations as part of our legacy!
THANK YOU SIR, I NEVER EXPECT TO BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HARVEST A BOOK ANIMAL BUT IF IT HAPPENS I WOULD LIKE FOR IT TO BE ENTERED IF FOR NO OTHER REASON I BELIEVE IF SHOWS SOME RESPECT TO THE ANIMAL .

Just going off of the longest horn measurement of 58.5 I would guess your total score (no real way for me to know with out accurately measuring it) should be around 138 which is most definitely a Gold Medal Kudu that would land in the book somewhere around #108. Congratulations on a very nice Kudu Bull!

Congrats,, fine trophy..they are so majestic...I assume a rifle kill ?...

My first trip to So Africa on first day I connected on a grey ghost at seventeen yds with my recurve... to say the least it was my most exciting harvest of my life... shot it in 2012 & I still relive it to this day & every time I hear a fellow hunter tell their story... I can feel your excitement....

I was a dream come true ...took years to save for...

Just returned from my first African Safari . I was lucky enough to collect a 58.5" greater kudu .
I am wandering if that is enough to qualify for SCI Book .
Dear TXHUNTER338
Congratulations with your trophie(s).
Cherish your memories.

A great bull, congrats !

Don't let others talk you out of anything. It truly is a great trophy and if you wish to put in the books, do so. Cheers

The steep hill says it all, nice kudu!

Congratulations on your trip & trophy. Based on your measurements... yes I’m
Sure it will score “something”. However, my 2 cents.... forget that shit. The hunt, the memory, experience, etc... is way more valuable that being listed & lost in the annals of some cheesy ass book.
Sorry to be blunt. You have a great trophy!
Nothing bummed me more when i guided tham having a bloke looking at a deer saying "yeah he's a beauty but what's he going to score?"

That's a great kudu mate, be proud [emoji106]

Have to agree with BWH mine went just over the 52inches. My PH told me that was a good one for the Kalahari region. Old fella with ivory tips. Not a world beater like the ones further south but one that will take pride of place in my home. As BWH said my trophy my memories I don't need a book to tell me I'm good. All I have to do is look at my wall and the memories come back of a great time.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!
