Has anyone on here invested in Africa? Aside from spending money on hunts that is.

Cattle. Buy and sell. Grow a herd over years, fatten up wieners and sell cows in calf. As long as they are part of the Zulu Labola tradition there will always be a market.

Again. Unless you have a massive farming enterprise this is just a form of diversification in a well rounded portfolio.

Commercial and rental property is another form of good returns if invested in the correct location.

I have a small investment in an oil company that is supposedly going to develop a large field in Namibia, but it is a total lottery ticket; and right now that lottery ticket is worth about 25% of what I gave for it. :)

About the only investment I made in Africa was an ETF that invested in frontier markets.

Looking into a small scale opal mine north of Axum, Ethiopia now..
