In search of a proper belt

Melville and Moon make an excellent simple leather belt. A bit thicker and wider than most.

So very disappointed in Hill Country Leather.com. I tried to order an elephant belt they say they have in stock and after four tries trying to buy online I give up on them...it will not go through. They have to be losing a lot of money due to a faulty website.

@Rare Breed, I have a great custom gator belt I bought and wear everyday since 2020. John is not computer savvy but his communication through emails is great. I called talked to him. Belts are always difficult and best to talk getting the length and holes in right place. I had a specific buckle, sent it to him.

I would not hesitate, just old fashioned phone call.

I found one good casual belt through Orvis. It is made by J.E. Sedgewick Ltd in Great Britain. A nice, hard harness leather with great stitching.
I have a Cordovan belt coming from Crockett & Jones. Never heard of them previously, perhaps a gamble, but seems nice and on sale for $56 so I'm taking a chance.

HAS MADE THE WIFE AND I WONDERFUL DRESS BELTS IN GIRAFFE WITH STERLING BUCKLES I SENT HIM (ONCE AGAIN I'M A PICKY ASS). GET HOLD OF HIM VIA PHONE OR EMAIL AND HE WILL TAKE GREAT CARE OF YOU.

This is not about him but about his technology with his website that’s all. They still have not responded to my email about this. I have no doubt his product is stellar!

When I try four times to give them my money but can’t get through that’s a problem not with the product but with their technology.

I have the top belt here. I wear it almost daily.

I asked my local taxidermey to make me a hippo hide belt. I paired it with a Patrick Mavros feather buckle, I then ordered the croc skin also. My favourite belts now

Well, that was a bust, but credit card stopped a potential scam....

Love this all leather Dickies belt. I fly a lot, sail thru TSA scanner without a peep, no redressing before heading to the gate. The best part is the $20 price.

I just ordered a nicotine elephant hide belt from John all done over the phone this morning. His website is outdated, call him direct, he’s a really nice guy, I enjoyed talking to him. The elephant hide belt was $200 plus $10 for shipping he has to make them no longer on the shelf or on sale, site outdated. I asked for a square brass buckle but he has nickel and gunmetal too, along with a variety of different leather colors (I like the nicotine) also on his instagram site.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
